Boba @ Five below 🧋
💜I always see boba at five below and today i decided to try it!
💜THE LOOK. The can is so cute. There was my melody (taro) and hello kitty (brown sugar)
💜THE TARO MILK TEA. That was actually really good. Taro is one of my go tos!
💜THE BOBA… not good. It wasn’t the tapioca boba, nor the popping pearl boba. It wasn’t chewy at all, nor did it taste good 😬 I drank the tea, tried the boba at the end and did not finish it haha
Overall, it was good as far as the milk tea!
After my recent dive into the A-SHA Taro My Melody boba tea from Five Below, I wanted to share a bit more for anyone curious about the drink aisle there! It seems like 'boba tea Five Below' and 'Five Below drinks' are popular searches, and I totally get why – who doesn't love a good deal on a fun beverage? Let's talk a bit more about that A-SHA Boba Milk Tea. While the My Melody packaging was undeniably adorable and the taro milk tea flavor was genuinely good, the boba itself left me wanting more. Many people, myself included, expect those classic chewy tapioca pearls or even the burst of popping boba. The pearls in this A-SHA Boba Milk Tea were neither. They had a softer, almost jelly-like consistency that didn't provide that satisfying chewiness we associate with traditional boba. It's a common experience with some shelf-stable boba products, as achieving that perfect tapioca texture in a canned drink can be tricky. So, if you're a boba purist, manage your expectations for the pearls, but definitely enjoy the colorful purple boba illustrations on the can and the delicious tea! Beyond the boba, Five Below's drink selection can be a treasure hunt! I've seen everything from unique sodas you don't find everywhere else to energy drinks, sparkling waters, and even some international flavors. It's often a rotating stock, so what you find one week might be different the next. When I'm browsing the 'Five Below drinks' section, I usually look for: New & Trendy Flavors: Five Below is great for trying out those viral drinks or seasonal limited editions without breaking the break. Unique Brands: Sometimes they carry smaller, independent brands or imported beverages that are fun to experiment with. Value Packs: Keep an eye out for multi-packs or larger bottles that offer an even better deal. My tip for trying any Five Below drink, especially something new like a canned boba, is to go in with an open mind. You might discover a new favorite, or you might find something that's just "okay" but still a fun experience for the price. If the pre-packaged boba isn't quite hitting the mark for you, consider grabbing some instant boba pearls from an Asian grocery store or online. They're surprisingly easy to prepare at home, and you can add them to any milk tea base you like, giving you that authentic chewy texture. You can even experiment with different tea flavors – maybe a classic brown sugar milk tea or a vibrant matcha! Overall, Five Below is still a fantastic spot for budget-friendly finds, and their drink section is no exception. Just remember that some items, like the A-SHA Boba Milk Tea, might offer a slightly different experience than what you're used to, especially when it comes to those elusive boba pearls. Happy sipping!

It looks so cute but I’m not a fan of this can boba drinks, they don’t taste really good
