From the moment we met, I knew there was something special about him. We clicked in a way I hadn’t experienced before, like two puzzle pieces finally finding their place.

One weekend, we decided to escape the city and head out for a spontaneous road trip to the mining quarry. We spent the day hiking, talking, and laughing until our sides hurt.

As the sun began to set, we found a quiet spot overlooking the valley below.

As we sat there, he turned to me with a serious look in his eyes and said, “You know, I’ve known since the first day we met that you were the one I want to spend my life with. I don’t have a ring yet, and we might not be ready to get married tomorrow, but I promise you this—I will marry you when the time is right.”

I was taken aback, not because I didn’t feel the same way, but because hearing it out loud was so profound.

From that day on, he asked me to marry him in the sweetest ways—through texts in the middle of the day, in whispered words over the phone when we are apart, and with a simple question when we are together: “Will you marry me?”

We laugh about it now, saying that we’re already married in our little world, complete with four imaginary kids! ( our four cats) 🐈 🐈‍⬛ 🐈 🐈

It’s a running joke between us, but it also feels incredibly real, like we’ve already built this beautiful life together in our hearts.

Our friends tease us about it, saying we’re the couple that’s engaged but not quite, yet we couldn’t be happier.
