💭What's on my mind:

My job has been putting me through the ringer. I have an immense amount of weight on my shoulders and I feel like I cant trust my coworker with any of it.

I dont know if its because hes a man.... or if its simply because I worked here before him and he was hired in at a higher position but is still lacking my level of knowledge and skill and hes supposed to be a "Sr Analyst" but dang. I cant stand him on a daily basis.

I was dealt a bad hand here, 1 month in and my mentor left and i had to play the role of 2 Analyst and Sr Analyst and I still am at times.

Im working on not bringing this stress home. I have deadlines that only "need" to be met at work and at home they shouldnt matter.

... Read moreFeeling overwhelmed at work is something many of us can relate to. Whether it's dealing with demanding responsibilities or navigating complex team dynamics, it's important to nurture our mental health. One way to cope is by practicing self-care techniques after work. Engaging in activities you enjoy, like reading, exercising, or spending time with friends, can help alleviate stress. Additionally, establishing clear boundaries between work and personal life is crucial. Avoid bringing office stress home by creating a designated workspace and setting specific 'off hours' for relaxation. Communicating your feelings with trusted colleagues can also foster a supportive environment. It's essential to recognize that seeking help or sharing your struggles doesn't show weakness; it shows courage and self-awareness. Incorporating mindfulness practices, such as meditation and deep breathing exercises, can further help manage work-related anxiety. By focusing on the present moment, you can reduce feelings of overwhelm and increase overall well-being. Remember, it's perfectly okay to not have everything figured out. Adapt your coping strategies as needed and prioritize what truly matters to you to achieve a balanced lifestyle.
