holiday in Montreal 🇨🇦
From the Amapaino DJs to the food to the vibes, I couldn’t have asked for a better eat.pray.love trip to kick off my year of travel. I 100% recommend as a city to visit and taking a quick trip to Mont-Tremblant to experience the mountainside! 🤍✨

My recent 'eat, pray, love' trip to Montreal was truly unforgettable, and I'm still buzzing from all the incredible experiences! If you're wondering what Montreal is known for or looking for unique things to do, let me tell you, this city absolutely delivers. It’s got this amazing blend of European charm and North American dynamism that makes every corner feel like an adventure. First off, the food scene is an absolute highlight. Forget everything you think you know, because Montreal takes gastronomy to another level. Of course, you have to try the poutine – it's a rite of passage! My favorite spot offered a gourmet version with pulled pork, and it was heavenly. But beyond that, the city is a haven for foodies. Think fresh Montreal-style bagels, still warm from the wood-fired oven – perfect for a quick breakfast. And don't even get me started on the smoked meat sandwiches; they're legendary! I spent an entire afternoon just exploring different cafes and bakeries in the Plateau Mont-Royal, discovering hidden gems and indulging in exquisite pastries. The diversity of cuisines available is astounding, catering to every palate and every budget, making it a perfect destination for those who love to 'eat' their way through a new city. Beyond the delicious eats, the 'vibes' in Montreal are just electric. Whether it's the bustling nightlife, the vibrant street art, or the lively music scene, there's always something happening. I was lucky enough to catch some incredible Amapaino DJs, and the energy was infectious – dancing the night away was definitely a highlight! But even during the day, just strolling through Old Montreal with its cobblestone streets and stunning architecture, or exploring the quirky boutiques and colorful murals of Le Plateau, you feel this undeniable buzz. The city truly embraces its artistic and cultural side, making it a feast for the senses. It’s definitely a place where you can find your rhythm and truly 'pray' (or rather, reflect and find peace) amidst the vibrant energy. And for those seeking a change of scenery, taking a quick trip to Mont-Tremblant, as I did, is an absolute must-do! Just a short drive away, you're transported to a picturesque mountainside village with breathtaking views. In winter, it's a skier's paradise, but even in other seasons, it offers fantastic hiking trails, charming shops, and a serene escape from the city bustle. It added such a wonderful dimension to my trip, offering a tranquil contrast to Montreal's urban excitement. It's the perfect way to experience a different side of Quebec's natural beauty and get that 'love' for the outdoors. For anyone planning a Montreal travel guide or wondering if Montreal is a good place to visit, I can wholeheartedly say yes! It's a city that offers a rich cultural tapestry, from historic landmarks like the Notre-Dame Basilica to modern art galleries. Getting around is super easy too, with an efficient metro system that connects most major attractions. Whether you're looking for historical insights, culinary delights, vibrant nightlife, or a scenic mountain escape, Montreal truly has it all. It’s definitely earned its spot on my travel bucket list, and I’m already dreaming of my next visit!
