1 of 50: Supporting Chicago Black-Owned Businesses
📍Location: Momentum Coffee
I set a goal of being more intentional this year with where I spend my money. I am really focusing on shopping at local small businesses. With that I set a goal of supporting at least 50 Black-owned Chicago businesses throughout the year.
I am starting off with Momentum Coffee. I went to their South Loop location but they have a few throughout Chicago.
They have an amazing breakfast sandwich that has chicken sausage which is hard to find. To drink I got the ginger turmeric chai that was super flavorful.
Supporting Black-owned businesses is a crucial step towards economic equity and community empowerment. In Chicago, these businesses often provide unique products and services that reflect the rich cultural heritage of the area. Momentum Coffee, located in the South Loop, not only serves delicious food and beverages but also stands as a testament to the entrepreneurial spirit of the Black community in Chicago. By consciously choosing to shop at such establishments, you contribute to job creation and community investment, ensuring these businesses thrive in a competitive market. Exploring local favorites like Momentum Coffee allows you to experience local flavors while supporting important social causes. Next time you seek a cozy cafe or a delicious meal, consider the impact of your choices and support businesses that give back to the community. Let's uplift and celebrate the diversity of Black entrepreneurship in Chicago, one meal at a time.
