You know that feeling when your cat just looks at you with that knowing stare, and you just know they're judging your life choices? That's exactly the vibe I was going for with my latest 'Cat-titude' comic! My little orange cat with glasses (in my imagination, of course!) is the ultimate inspiration. He truly embodies the idea that sarcasm is the cat's art form. Living with a feline like him, you quickly realize they possess a certain PhD in observation and subtle mockery. Every time he gracefully leaps into a cardboard box I've just emptied, ignoring the fancy cat bed I bought, I can practically hear his internal monologue: "Yes, human, this perfectly good box is far superior to your plush offerings. Now, about that kibble..." It’s these daily, understated acts of feline superiority that fuel my comic ideas. It's more than just an illustration; it's a reflection of the hilarious, often one-sided conversations we cat lovers have with our furry overlords. They don't just tolerate us; they subtly command us. I swear mine has trained me perfectly to be his personal kibble fetcher and lap warmer. And he manages to convey all this with just a flick of his tail or a slow blink. That unique cat-titude is something only a true cat parent can fully appreciate. I often find myself wondering what goes on inside his head. Is he truly thinking about advanced physics, only interrupted by the urgent need for a nap or a demand for food? Or is he just perfecting his art of passive aggression? I lean towards the latter, and it's pure comedic gold. This is why I started drawing these illustrations – to capture those everyday, relatable moments that any cat owner understands. I wanted to create something that would make fellow cat lovers nod in agreement, perhaps even share a chuckle. Creating this comic has been a blast. It’s a way for me to share the unique personality of my sarcastic feline friend. I’ve always been drawn to artistically expressing the quirks of animals, and cats, with their inherent sass and independence, offer an endless well of inspiration. From their sophisticated indifference to their sudden bursts of playful chaos, every moment is a potential panel. The idea for the orange cat with glasses and a green tie came from imagining what kind of intellectual, yet aloof, persona he’d project if he could dress up!
