real talk… i love being independent. i love knowing i can handle my own, pay my bills, and move how i want.

but sometimes i wonder… did independence make love harder or better?

like, we’ve built whole identities around not needing anyone. but what happens when you actually want someone… and don’t know how to let them in?

i used to think needing someone was weak. now i’m learning it’s just human.

Being independent and strong enough to take care of yourself is a good thing. It makes you understand life and be mature and responsible. But having a special someone to love and share your life with is different. When it is not a good relationship is when that person is being manipulative and controlling and does not let you be the best you can be with their support and understanding.
