A café, but with a boat

Finally visited this café in Bangkok after seeing it everywhere for the longest time and I’m so glad I finally made it here 🥹

What makes this place special is that you actually get to row a small boat around the stream that runs through the café.

There is no additional cost as long as you dine there with a minimum spend of 100 baht per person. You just show your receipt and you can row freely with no time limit, though it can get quite tiring especially in the afternoon heat, so pace yourself!

We started with desserts and drinks first, then went to row the boat, and returned to our table later for lunch. I really liked that the café allows you to order your lunch beforehand and have it served later, which makes the whole experience very smooth and relaxed.

For desserts, we had rainbow crepe cake and ice cream. The crepe cake was light and not too sweet, and the homemade ice cream was creamy without being jelak, perfect for cooling down after rowing. For drinks, we tried the fresh fruit drinks, mango and watermelon, which were super refreshing and great for the hot weather. 🥵

After that, we came back for lunch and ordered the butterfly pea rice with grilled pork. The grilled pork was juicy and flavourful, paired with a slightly sweet and spicy sauce that went really well with the rice. Simple, comforting, and filling enough without feeling too heavy.

One thing to note is that credit card payments are only allowed for bills of 500 baht and above. Anything below that is cash only, so it’s good to prepare some cash before coming.

Overall, I really enjoyed the experience here. Very chill vibes, lots of greenery, flowing water, and a café concept that feels different from the usual. 💗

The only thing I wished for was some soft instrumental music playing in the background, which would have made the whole rowing experience even more relaxing. 😆

Still, it’s definitely worth visiting at least once if you’re in Bangkok. I’d recommend coming earlier in the day to avoid the heat and enjoy the atmosphere more comfortably 🚣‍♀️After the Rain Coffee & Gallery

After The Rain Coffee and Gallery

... Read moreOne of the most memorable aspects of this café is the boat experience itself. It’s rare to find a spot where you can enjoy your coffee and then actually row through a peaceful stream right inside the café. I found it really refreshing despite the afternoon heat, and it’s a great way to break the routine of typical café visits. If you’re planning a visit, I recommend coming earlier in the day—not just to avoid the stronger sun but also for a more comfortable rowing experience. The café’s greenery and flowing water create a calming vibe that makes you want to stay longer and enjoy nature amid the city buzz. Another tip: be prepared with cash if your bill is under 500 baht, as credit card payments are only accepted above that. Also, ordering your lunch in advance is a game changer; it allows you to enjoy the rowing and then have a fresh meal waiting for you without any rush. The homemade ice cream and rainbow crepe cake are personal favorites. Their light sweetness and creamy textures pair wonderfully with the fresh fruit drinks, like mango and watermelon, that help cool you down. Overall, this café offers an experience that combines leisure, nature, and good food—all topped with the unique twist of a coffee boat. It’s definitely a must-visit for anyone looking to discover a different side of Bangkok’s café culture.
