HCMC cafes so cosy you could spend the whole day!✨

In my recent super chill HCMC trip, I spent lots of time reading/ crocheting in cosy cafes!

The first 3 cafes are within the same area, just next to each other!

1️⃣Make Room - so aesthetic and cosy. Food options slightly limited, has egg coffee!

2️⃣CAB APT - right beside make room. Feels like a home with lots of dopamine decorations and a collection of digicams!! And super cute cat!!! Owner was super detailed in making our coffees 🥹 it’s a place filled with love

3️⃣1996 Space & Coffee - above the 2 cafes. Lots of good reviews on the basque burnt cheesecake but unfortunately both times I went they sold out ):

4️⃣Cộng Cà phê - known for their coconut coffee! Has cosy indoor/ roadside seatings as well!

... Read moreDuring my visit to Ho Chi Minh City, I found that these cafes aren’t just about great coffee; they offer a whole ambiance that makes you want to stay for hours. Make Room provides a mid-century modern aesthetic that’s both welcoming and trendy, making it a go-to spot for creative work or casual meetups. The limited food menu means you can focus on their standout drinks like the egg coffee—a must-try for those looking to taste something different. Right next to it, CAB APT feels like stepping into a cozy home filled with vibrant decorations that boost your mood. Their collection of vintage digital cameras adds character, and spotting the adorable resident cat is a delightful bonus. What impressed me most was the owner’s dedication to each cup of coffee, showing real care in the preparation process. Upstairs, 1996 Space & Coffee was a chill spot that many rave about, especially for the basque burnt cheesecake—a local favorite. Although I missed out on it during both my visits, the cafe’s vibe alone makes it a worthy stop during a cafe crawl. Last but not least, Cộng Cà phê is iconic for its coconut coffee, served either inside at a cozy setting or outdoors where you can watch Saigon’s bustling street life. This spot perfectly blends traditional Vietnamese coffee culture with a comfortable atmosphere. Spending a day hopping between these cafes allowed me to truly soak up the relaxed yet lively spirit of HCMC’s cafe scene, making it perfect for those who enjoy reading, crafting, or simply unwinding with a cup of expertly brewed coffee.

🇻🇳🌿 A Hidden Café Gem in Ho Chi Minh — Every Half
This morning, I visited a café near Japanese Street in District 1 called Every Half. It was highly recommended by my friend, but it took me a while to find it since it’s tucked away deep inside a small alley. I arrived early just as they opened, so I think I was their first customer of the day.
