#MIKANTSUMIKI || I’m working on a new cosplay🙈 || #cosplayer #danganronpa #mikantsumikicosplay #cosplay
Hey everyone! While I'm super focused on my Mikan Tsumiki cosplay right now – getting all the nurse uniform details just right is a challenge! – it always gets me thinking about what other characters I'd love to bring to life in the future. There are so many amazing designs out there, and sometimes a character just really grabs your attention, even if they're from a completely different universe than Danganronpa. One character that's been on my mind lately, especially seeing all the cool takes on her online, is Nene from Friday Night Funkin' (FNF)! She's got such a distinct, energetic vibe that I think would be incredibly fun to cosplay. Her sharp, edgy look is a total contrast to Mikan's gentle (but complex!) persona, and that's part of the appeal. It's always great to try different styles and challenge yourself with new characters. If you're thinking about cosplaying Nene, there are a few key elements to really nail her iconic look. First, that vibrant pink hair! Finding the right wig is crucial. You'll want one with good volume that can be styled into her signature spiky, swept-back style. Often, beanies are involved, so you can sometimes get away with a slightly less complex wig if it's mostly covered, but getting the bangs right is key. Her outfit is relatively straightforward but impactful: usually a simple hoodie, often in purple or a dark color, with a light-colored top underneath, and then her distinct black shorts or skirt with striped leggings or socks. Don't forget those chunky shoes or sneakers! The simplicity means you can really focus on the attitude and makeup. Nene’s expression is always so sharp and confident, so practicing those poses and getting her signature scowl or smirk down would make the cosplay truly shine. For makeup, think bold and stylized. Her eyes are often depicted with a very specific, almost pixelated look in the game, so translating that into real-life makeup means playing with sharp lines and perhaps some dramatic eyeliner. You could even use some face paint for those classic FNF-style eye shapes. What I love about characters like Nene is how much personality they convey through relatively simple designs. It’s not just about replicating the clothes; it’s about embodying that fierce, confident energy. Gathering reference images, both from the game and from other talented cosplayers, is always my first step. Look for different angles of her character art to understand the proportions and details. If you're new to making costumes, Nene could be a great starter project. A hoodie and shorts are easy to find or modify, and then you can put your effort into the wig styling and makeup, which are often the most defining features for FNF characters. There are tons of tutorials online for wig dyeing, cutting, and styling that could help you achieve Nene’s unique hair. Connecting with other FNF fans and cosplayers is also a huge part of the fun! Sharing progress, asking for tips, and seeing how others interpret the characters can be incredibly inspiring. Whether you're aiming for a super-accurate rendition or a more stylized, personal take, the FNF community is generally very welcoming. Cosplay is all about creativity and having a good time, right? So, while Mikan Tsumiki is taking up most of my creative energy now, Nene FNF definitely lurks in my 'someday' cosplay list! It makes me wonder, what other FNF characters do you think would be awesome to cosplay? Or any other characters that are a complete style departure from your usual choices? I'm always looking for new inspiration!
