Books that I own

#books #booksiown

Soooo I have a lottt of books. I don’t always have ideas to post about so maybe posting about all the books is a good idea? Idk lol. This will be part one outta maybe 5-10+ parts 😅.

But yeah, i definitely loved Neanderthal opens the door to the universe, if that type of book is ur style then please read it. It’s amazing imo. I read we are the ants a long time ago so I don’t really remember much anymore but I remember loving it back then. The institute, I got halfway thru before going on an unplanned trip with my bf for two weeks in August. Since then I have worked up the energy to read it…or anything. I’m trying to tho lol. All that I can fix was on my tbr a year ago but I never got around to it.

Ig that’s all I can think of to say about these books lol, have a wonderful night! 🫶

... Read moreOkay, bookworms, you asked and I'm delivering! Seriously though, it's so much fun to share what's on my shelves and chat about books that have truly stuck with me. You saw a peek at some of my current reads and TBR (To Be Read) list in my last post, and I wanted to dive a little deeper into why these books made it onto my curated collection. First up, let's talk about the absolute gem that is 'Neanderthal Opens the Door to the Universe' by Preston Norton. Seriously, if you're into quirky, heartfelt, and genuinely unique stories, this one is a must-read. From the moment I picked it up, I was hooked. It’s got this incredible blend of humor and poignant moments that just makes you feel all the emotions. The protagonist, Aaron, is a character you can't help but root for as he navigates high school, grief, and a really unexpected mission. Preston Norton’s writing style is just so engaging and fresh. I honestly gave it a 10/10 because it’s the kind of book that stays with you long after you’ve turned the last page. If you're looking for something that's both thought-provoking and genuinely fun, give this one a try! Then there's 'We Are the Ants' by Shaun David Hutchinson. Oh my goodness, this book! I mentioned wanting to re-read it, and that’s because it’s one of those stories that makes you think deeply. It delves into some pretty heavy themes like grief, depression, and the meaning of existence, all wrapped up in a sci-fi package. The main character, Henry, has to decide whether to save the world, but he's got so much personal stuff going on, it’s hard to care. Shaun David Hutchinson has a way of writing characters that feel incredibly real, even when they're facing cosmic dilemmas. If you liked 'The Butterfly Garden' for its psychological depth or other thought-provoking books, you might really connect with this one. It’s a powerful read that explores difficult topics with a lot of heart. Now, for my current reading journey: 'The Institute' by Stephen King. You know that feeling when you start a fantastic book but life just gets in the way? That’s exactly what happened here! I was genuinely captivated by the story—a group of kids with special abilities trapped in a sinister facility. It’s classic Stephen King, full of suspense and chilling details that keep you on the edge of your seat. The concepts of Luke and Iris, and their playground-like prison, are so intriguing. I was about halfway through when an unexpected trip pulled me away, and I haven't quite found the energy to pick it back up. But it’s definitely on my list to finish soon! For anyone who struggles with reading slumps or getting back into a book, I totally get it. Sometimes a fresh start or even just dedicating 15 minutes a day can make a huge difference. And let’s not forget 'All That I Can Fix' by Crystal Chan, which is currently sitting pretty on my TBR pile. The cover alone, with its quirky cookie-like figures, caught my eye, and the synopsis about family dynamics and finding your place sounds so heartwarming and unique. I'm always looking for stories that combine a bit of magic with real-life issues, and this one seems to fit the bill perfectly. It’s been on my radar for a while now, and I’m really excited to dive into Crystal Chan’s storytelling when I get a chance. What kind of books are currently on your TBR? Let me know! This is just Part 1 of my book adventures, and I can't wait to share more of my collection with you all soon. Happy reading, everyone!
