MY FAVORITE NINJA TURTLE 🐢💜

Ever since I saw the Mutant Mayhem panel, the TMNT franchise has completely captured my heart again! While I definitely enjoyed the 2003 cartoon as a kid, it wasn't until now, in my late 20s, that I truly fell head over heels for these amazing turtles. And who's my absolute favorite? Hands down, it's Donatello! There's just something about his brilliant mind, tech-savvy gadgets, and his often-understated but incredibly loyal personality that resonates with me so much. He's not just the brains of the group; he's got so much heart, and I love seeing him shine. My newfound Donnie obsession quickly inspired me to get creative. I wanted to bring a piece of that joy into my everyday life, which led me to making my own custom Donatello acrylic charms and keychains. The process itself is super rewarding! It starts with sketching out my favorite Donnie poses – like him confidently holding his iconic bo staff, or a more modern take with him sporting cool headphones and a hoodie, getting lost in his latest invention. Once I had my designs perfected digitally (think of it like creating the perfect blueprint, much like how some might use files for 3D printing custom items!), I then worked with a manufacturer to get them turned into these gorgeous purple-bordered acrylic charms you see. The vibrant purple border really makes Donnie pop, and it’s just so satisfying to hold the finished piece. And what's a charm without a fabulous keychain? I love adding a playful touch with colorful beaded keychains, sometimes even incorporating a tiny extra turtle figure to complete the look. These aren't just for my keys, though! My main goal is to deck out an ita bag specifically dedicated to my TMNT love. For those unfamiliar, an ita bag is a Japanese fashion trend where you display your favorite pins, keychains, and charms on a clear panel of a bag. It's a fantastic way to show off your fandom in style, and my Donatello collection is going to be the centerpiece! Imagine a whole bag dedicated to the genius inventor, with every little detail reflecting his character. While Donnie is my main focus right now, I'm already brainstorming ideas for the other turtles. Each brother brings something unique to the team, and exploring their individual personalities through art is so much fun. Who knows, maybe I'll even create a special charm for beloved characters like April O'Neil down the line!
