Helldivers 2: Super Helldivers vs. Illuminate
Hey fellow Helldivers! So, you're diving into the chaotic world of Super Earth's fight for democracy, specifically against those tricky Illuminates on a Super Helldive (LVL10)? Trust me, I know the struggle! Just like my recent mission where we saw "Illuminate Ships Incoming" left and right, these guys are no joke. But with a bit of strategy and the right gear, you can definitely turn the tide. First off, let's talk about the Illuminate. They're different from bugs or automatons. Their shields, psychic attacks, and those annoying Tripods can really throw a wrench in your plans. My squad and I always found that understanding their unique threats is half the battle won. When you're gearing up for a Super Helldive (LVL10) against these guys, your loadout is crucial. For stratagems, I almost always bring something that can deal with both large groups and individual armored units. Orbital Lasers or Eagle Airstrikes are fantastic for clearing out areas or taking down those pesky "Illuminate Ships Incoming" before they drop too many reinforcements. Don't forget your supply drops – running out of ammo mid-fight, especially when dealing with a swarm, is a nightmare. I love sending some "explosive gifts" their way, especially for those heavy units! Now, for specific Illuminate threats: Tripods: Ugh, I am "Not a fan of this TRIPOD" at all! These are priority targets. They have a weak spot if you can flank them, but a well-placed explosive, like a Recoilless Rifle shot or an Autocannon round, will drop them quickly. Even an anti-tank grenade can ruin their day. Focus fire on these and take them out before they can establish a strong defensive position. Shielded Units: Breakers and other shielded foes require armor-piercing rounds or stratagems that bypass their front shield. The Scythe laser gun can melt shields quickly, or a well-aimed shot from a high-damage weapon to their exposed body will do the trick. Psi-Ops/Watchers: These guys can stun you or call in reinforcements. Prioritize them! A quick burst from your primary weapon or a precise grenade can save your squad from being overwhelmed. Teamwork is paramount. Communication about enemy positions, especially when those "Illuminate Ships Incoming" pop up, can make all the difference. Stick together, cover each other's backs, and manage your reinforcements carefully ("TIMES REINFORCING"). Believe me, nothing stings more than losing a squadmate to a stray shot, leading to those frustrating "ACCIDENTALS" on the end screen. Don't forget your mission objectives! While wiping out the enemy is fun, completing "OPTIONAL OBJECTIVES" and ensuring all "SAMPLES EXTRACTED" are crucial for success and rewards. In one mission, we were down to the wire, but by focusing on the extraction point and protecting our "SAMPLES EXTRACTED," we managed to pull off a "MISSION COMPLETED" with seconds to spare. Successfully extracting is the ultimate goal. When the shuttle is there, everyone needs to prioritize getting on board. Sometimes you have to make tough calls, but securing that extraction means all your hard work pays off. And honestly, there's no better feeling than seeing your name as "Top Fragger" after a brutally tough Super Helldive! So, gear up, Helldivers, and remember: for Super Earth! Stay vigilant, use those stratagems wisely, and you'll be conquering those Illuminate Super Helldives in no time.
