私が行ったときの「味の店いわし（盛岡）」のランチは、とにかく“刺身定食を安く満腹で食べたい”人に刺さるお店でした。盛岡駅からは少し歩きますが、開店前から列ができるのも納得。初めて行く人向けに、並び方・メニューの見方・頼み方を補足します。 まず並び方。11:30開店の日は、開店前に並んでいた人で1巡目がほぼ満席になりました。確実に座りたいなら、少し早めに到着しておくのがおすすめです。回転は早めですが、人気なので「ランチのピークは待つ前提」で予定を組むと気持ちがラクでした。 次にメニュー。店内に手書きのメニューボードがあり、定食や一品料理がいろいろあって迷います。私のお目当ては刺身盛り合わせ定食（¥1,580）。写真で見る通り、豪華な刺身が重なるくらい盛られていて、いくらのプチプチ感とウニの濃厚さもちゃんと主役級でした。ご飯は大盛無料なので、しっかり食べたい人は遠慮なくお願いすると満足度が上がります。 注文の仕組みは少し独特で、店員さんが順番に取りに来るというより「タイミングを見て自分から声をかける」スタイルでした。最初は戸惑いましたが、メニューを決めてからサッと声をかけるとスムーズ。お水やお茶はセルフなので、席に着いたら先に準備しておくと落ち着いて待てます。 提供はかなり早かった印象です。刺身だけでなく、小鉢や汁物も付いて“定食としての完成度”が高いのがうれしいポイント。夜は居酒屋利用も人気らしく、並んでいる間に「予約が取れないことがある」と話している地元の方もいました。もし盛岡で「盛岡駅近くで安い定食ランチ」「刺身盛り合わせ定食」「いわしのメニューが気になる」と探しているなら、一度行ってみる価値ありだと思います。
