Learning from Children in Chemotherapy

There is a lot that we can learn about dealing with pain and suffering from children going through chemotherapy. They endure the pain and suffering of things that they don’t understand, because they trust their parents. They trust in the love their parents have for them, that they are going through the pain for a good reason, that is for their ultimate good. How much more can we trust God in our pain and suffering in times where we don’t understand!

5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart

and lean not on your own understanding;

6 in all your ways submit to him,

and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5–6) #suffering #chemotherapy #trustingod #loveofgod #pain

Hit the nail on the head. When our grandson who was #6 was diagnosed at 18 months with Neuroblastoma that he was born with. He lived 95% of his life hospital, after 18 months old. Watching him suffer in so much pain, him being severely autistic, he communicated with his hands and expressions. You would never know how much pain he was in by the smile on his face. I miss him so much! He taught us how to love, how to live!!! He beat the cancer and rang the bell at 33 1/2 months. Congestive heart failure took him just 1.5 months away from his 3rd birthday. I have always believed that children with disabilities, deformities and disease are the most loving and compassionate humans. While reading HIS Word and being more like these precious children we will have achieved what God wants from us.
