Sometimes God just shows you the next step.
Sometimes God lets us see the path, and other times He just shows us our next step. It’s important to have patience and trust him either way.
Your word is a lamp to my feet
and a light to my path. (Psalm 119:105, ESV)
In my personal experience, learning to trust God’s timing and guidance has been a transformative journey. There were times when I longed to see the entire path ahead clearly, but instead, I was given just one step at a time. This approach required me to exercise patience and deepen my faith, understanding that God’s plan unfolds in perfect timing. Psalm 119:105 beautifully captures this experience: "Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." This verse reminds me that even when the whole road isn’t visible, God’s word provides sufficient light for the immediate step, giving the direction needed to move forward confidently. Practically, embracing this mindset has helped me remain calm amid uncertainty and avoid the anxiety of the unknown. It has taught me to lean on daily devotionals and scripture study to seek reassurance and clarity for each new day. Trusting God’s guidance also means letting go of control and accepting that setbacks or detours may be part of the journey. If you find yourself waiting for clear signs or feeling frustrated by limited vision, remember that sometimes God’s way is to show you the next step so you can focus fully on the present moment. This allows you to build strength and character gradually. Holding onto trust and patience can transform fear into peace, making your spiritual walk richer and more meaningful.
