God can use our anxiety for our good.

Jesus never promised us a life without trouble (quite the opposite, actually [John 16:33]), and as so even as saved believers, we will still deal with stress, anxiety, impatience, even doubt. But thankfully, God can use even those things to bring us closer to Him. And when we draw close to Him, He will comfort us, strengthen us, and give us what we need to make it through.

3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,

for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

4 Blessed are those who mourn,

for they will be comforted.

5 Blessed are the meek,

for they will inherit the earth.

6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,

for they will be filled. (Matthew 5:3–6)

And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. (Romans 8:28)

Read moreLiving with anxiety and stress is an experience many can relate to, but through my own journey, I've realized that these challenging emotions can serve a meaningful purpose in our spiritual lives. When I felt overwhelmed by anxiety, it often pushed me to seek God more earnestly in prayer, turning my worries into moments of connection and trust. The Scriptures, like Romans 8:28, remind us that God works all things for good—for those who love Him. This promise gave me hope that even my anxious moments were not wasted but used by God to refine my faith and character. I found comfort in reflecting on the Beatitudes from Matthew 5:3-6. Being 'poor in spirit' or mourning can feel painful, but these states open us to God's kingdom and comfort in ways we might never have expected. Through personal prayer and meditation, I learned to embrace my vulnerabilities rather than suppress them, recognizing that God's strength often shines brightest in our weakest moments. Practical steps helped me integrate this perspective: journaling my prayers, sharing my struggles with a supportive faith community, and holding onto the truth that God's purpose is bigger than momentary feelings of anxiety. This allowed me not only to endure stress but to grow through it. Understanding that Jesus never promised a trouble-free life helped reframe my mindset — rather than fearing difficulties, I started to view them as opportunities for deeper reliance on God. In my experience, anxiety doesn't diminish faith; when surrendered to God, it can deepen it profoundly. God's use of anxiety for our good shows us that we are never alone in our struggles, and through Him, we receive comfort, strength, and renewal. This journey has taught me that the path through anxiety can lead to greater peace and resilience, grounded in God’s unfailing love.
