It’s All for Jesus

Everything in creation was made through Jesus, for Jesus. From the beautiful little flower that has found its way through the cracks of broken concrete to the trillions of galaxies that we will never see, it all exists for him. This makes everything and everyone significant and purposeful.

15 The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. 16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. (Colossians 1:15–16)

Whether it’s observing a fragile flower thriving in a seemingly harsh environment or pondering the vast, unseen galaxies far beyond our reach, I am reminded of the purposeful design that underlies all things. This perspective invites a sense of wonder and reverence toward nature and the universe, understanding that nothing is accidental or without meaning. Colossians 1:15-16 highlights Jesus as the image of the invisible God and the originator of all creation, visible and invisible. In my daily experiences, this verse encourages me to view every living being and element of the cosmos as significant because they exist through and for Him. For instance, during a recent hike in nature, I felt a renewed connection to this truth, noticing how every plant, rock formation, and even the air seemed intricately linked to a grand divine purpose. This mindset transforms how we interact with the world around us. Instead of taking nature for granted or seeing it merely as a backdrop, we can appreciate that it reflects the glory of Jesus. It also brings comfort in times of struggle when faced with brokenness, much like a flower breaking through cracked concrete, symbolizing resilience and hope given by the Creator. Moreover, recognizing that all things, including spiritual realms and earthly powers, are created through Him encourages trust in His supreme authority. This belief can inspire personal growth, gratitude, and a commitment to steward creation responsibly. Sharing these reflections with others often opens meaningful conversations about faith, purpose, and the beauty that surrounds us daily.
