Stepping into the world of fanart has been such a journey, and I couldn't think of a better way to start than with Amy Rose! She's always been one of my favorite characters from Sonic the Hedgehog, with her energetic personality and distinctive style. When I decided to create this colorful sketch, I wanted to capture her classic look, from her signature green top and orange skirt to her absolutely iconic blue shoes with bows. It's a joy to finally share it! For anyone looking to try their hand at drawing Amy Rose, or any character for that matter, I've picked up a few tips along the way. First off, don't be afraid to use references! I spent some time looking at different poses and expressions to get a feel for her design. When starting out, especially with characters that have specific proportions, using graph paper can be incredibly helpful. It was a game-changer for me in getting her head, body, and limbs to look just right before diving into the details. One of the most enjoyable parts of this drawing was focusing on Amy's accessories. Her blue shoes, for instance, are such a key part of her look, and getting those bows just right adds so much to her character.
