🌸ADHD Spring Cleaning Challenge 2026
🌷Spring is here! Time to freshen up our spaces by doing some spring cleaning 🧽
There are two options for calendars and participation:
1️⃣ A daily calendar where you're following the prompt and cleaning that space on that day, or
2️⃣ Cleaning on the weekends and following that weekend's checklist to complete.
🤔 Choose the calendar that works for your schedule and brain. I do best when I focus on daily tasks because the smaller tasks help me to initiate the task and stay
Participating in a spring cleaning challenge tailored for ADHD can make a significant difference in maintaining a tidy and organized home without feeling overwhelmed. I’ve found that breaking down cleaning into small, daily tasks or dedicating focused weekend sessions can help maintain motivation and reduce anxiety often associated with large chores. For example, tackling one specific area each day—like wiping down window frames, dusting fixtures, or vacuuming upholstery—not only makes the process more manageable but also builds a satisfying routine. Using a calendar customized for ADHD-friendly cleaning, such as the April 2026 calendars provided in the challenge, gives clear structure and purpose. Whether you choose the daily task calendar or the weekend checklist, it’s important to pick the option that aligns with your own energy levels and schedule flexibility. One helpful tip is to treat cleaning like a series of mini goals instead of one massive project. This approach supports sustained focus and offers frequent opportunities for a sense of accomplishment. In my experience, integrating hydration breaks and moments to refresh outside helps maintain stamina during cleaning sessions. Also, switching out seasonal clothes and laundering pillows and throws during the cleaning phase can revitalize living spaces both visually and in comfort. Deep cleaning kitchen appliances and bathroom fixtures as detailed in the weekend checklists can prevent buildup and improve hygiene, which positively impacts daily living. Sharing progress with a supportive community, such as using the #adhdcleaning and #adhdorganization hashtags, can boost accountability and provide encouragement. This social interaction creates a shared experience that helps participants celebrate small wins and find inspiration from others’ creative solutions. Overall, the ADHD Spring Cleaning Challenge is less about perfection and more about creating a sustainable cleaning rhythm that respects ADHD challenges while promoting a refreshed and orderly living environment.
