Favorite Photo Editing Apps

I love photography and these are my go-to picture editing apps! Each brings its own vibe and can be a fun addition to your feed 📷

Lightroom ✪ is my favorite for editing pictures! You can get cheap presets (filters) on Etsy or you can make your own!

Huji ✽ you can either take pictures on the app or add them using the photo library feature (it costs money but to me, it’s worth it). It’s so much fun to use when going out with friends!

Tezza ☽ is very artsy and can get really cool borders for your photos. Adds a fun vibe to your feed!

EE35 Film 𓁹 probably my least favorite out of all because you can only take pictures in the app and the process is strange ( you have to go through the motions of taking a picture like you do with an actual film camera) but it does look like it was taken with film! Really cool if you want to get into film photography but can’t afford a film camera!

... Read moreChoosing the perfect photo editing application can feel overwhelming with so many options out there, but it really comes down to what you want to achieve with your photos! As someone who loves capturing moments, I've tried countless apps, and what I've learned is that each one has its own superpower. My initial list of "MY FAVORITE PHOTOGRAPHY APPS" covers a good range, but let's dive a bit deeper into why these are so effective and how you can pick the best one for your style. First off, consider your goal. Are you looking for a quick fix, a vintage aesthetic, or professional-grade adjustments? For nuanced control, Lightroom is absolutely indispensable. I often start here, especially for adjusting exposure, colors, and shadows. The beauty of Lightroom is its versatility – you can create your own unique look or find fantastic presets online, many of which are super affordable, like on Etsy. Seeing an image "edited with Lightroom" often means it has a polished, high-quality finish that stands out. If you're after that nostalgic, film-like charm, HUJI is fantastic! I love how effortlessly it gives my photos that classic disposable camera feel. It’s perfect for those candid shots with friends, instantly turning everyday moments into cherished, retro memories. I've had so much fun creating images "edited using the Huji app" that instantly transport me back in time. Then there's Tezza, which is brilliant for adding a creative, artistic touch. Beyond just filters, it offers unique borders and textures that can really elevate a simple photo. When I want a picture to feel a bit more curated or magazine-like, I often find myself reaching for Tezza. The images "edited with the Tezza app" always have this distinct, stylish vibe. And for the purists who adore the authentic film look without the hassle or expense of a physical camera, EE35 Film is a gem. Yes, its process is a bit different, mimicking a real film camera, but the results are incredibly rewarding. It's amazing to get photos "edited to look like film using the EE35 Film app" directly from my phone. Beyond these, here are a few more tips for getting the most out of any photo editing app: Start with subtle changes: It's easy to over-edit! Begin with small adjustments to brightness, contrast, and saturation. You can always add more. Consistency is key (for your feed): If you're building a social media presence, try to develop a consistent editing style across your photos. This creates a cohesive and appealing look. Many apps, especially Lightroom, allow you to save your custom edits as presets for this exact purpose. Don't forget the basics: Cropping and straightening can dramatically improve a photo's composition. Even the simplest "photo editing applications" offer these fundamental tools. Experiment! Don't be afraid to try different filters, effects, and tools. That's how you discover what works best for your personal style and the mood you want to convey. Utilize app features: Explore all the hidden gems within your chosen app. For instance, did you know some apps have specific tools for skin smoothing or object removal? Finding "good apps for editing pictures" is a personal journey. My Photography folder on my phone is always evolving, but these remain my trusted companions. Whether you're a beginner or looking to refine your skills, these tools can truly help you take your mobile photography to the next level. Happy editing!
