First time trying this 🫶
It’s stinks like fish 🤢
Okay, so in my last post, I mentioned trying this new BUTT CREAM for the first time, and honestly, the initial whiff was a shocker – it really did stink like fish! 🤢 I was so grossed out, but it got me thinking: is this normal? And what exactly is in these 'ass creams' anyway? After that first impression, I decided to do a little digging because I was trying something new and wanted to understand if I should just toss it or if there's a method to the madness. Turns out, some ingredients, especially certain plant extracts or active compounds, can have a strong, less-than-pleasant natural odor. Sometimes brands use artificial fragrances to mask this, but if they're going for a 'cleaner' formula, you might just get the raw scent of the ingredients. It’s often a trade-off, right? I've read that many butt creams aim to do a few things: moisturize, firm, smooth skin texture, and some even claim to help with the appearance of cellulite or stretch marks. Common ingredients I've seen pop up include caffeine (for circulation and firming), hyaluronic acid (for hydration), retinoids (for skin renewal), and various botanical extracts like green tea or ginseng (for antioxidants and soothing properties). Each ingredient has its own scent profile, and when combined, it can be... interesting! So, despite the fishy smell, I'm still debating if I should give this 'BUTT CREAM' a proper trial. Maybe the benefits outweigh the initial olfactory assault? My friend told me some products need time to show results, and the smell might dissipate once it's absorbed. It’s hard to commit when the application isn’t exactly a spa-like experience, though! If you're also trying something new in this category, my advice would be to always check the ingredient list. Look for things that align with your skin goals. Do you want intense hydration? Firming? A smoother texture? Also, patch-testing is always a good idea, not just for allergies but also to see how the scent develops on your skin. Some smells fade, others linger. Have any of you tried a butt cream that had a really weird smell at first but ended up being amazing? Or any tips for dealing with strong-smelling products? I'm curious to hear your experiences and recommendations. Let me know if that fishy smell is a deal-breaker for you too, or if I should push through for potentially great results!
