🌿My favorite Dog breed; Introducing Goldendoodle 🌿

... Read moreYou know that feeling when you just know a dog breed is for you? That's exactly how I felt about Goldendoodles, and my sweet Beadey has proven me right every single day! I've been asked so many times about why I love this breed, and honestly, where do I even begin? When Beadey was a puppy, her curly reddish-brown fur was absolutely irresistible. She was this tiny, fluffy ball of energy, and her curls were just starting to really come in. Watching her grow from that little bundle of joy into the magnificent full-grown Goldendoodle she is today has been an incredible journey. People often search for 'goldendoodle puppy curly fur' or 'full grown golden doodle', and I can totally relate! There's something so endearing about their development. As she matured, her coat became this beautiful, fluffy golden coat, still with those signature curls that make her look like a perpetual teddy bear. She's a medium-sized girl, perfect for cuddles on the couch but also robust enough for adventures. One of the things I truly appreciate about Goldendoodles, and Beadey in particular, is their temperament. Many wonder if a Goldendoodle can be 'calm indoors,' and my experience says yes! While she loves a good romp outside, Beadey is fantastic at settling down. She’s often found just chilling on her dark mat indoors, observing everything with that happy, slightly tongue-out expression you see in her photos. She's also a total shadow, always 'following owner indoors,' which I find incredibly comforting. It’s like having a best friend constantly by your side, whether I’m cooking, reading, or just relaxing. For those interested in specific types, Beadey is an F1B Goldendoodle, which means she's more Poodle and often has a curlier coat, making her a great option for people looking for 'hypoallergenic dogs.' While no dog is 100% hypoallergenic, her low-shedding coat has been a blessing. It's not just about the shedding though; their intelligent and friendly nature is what truly shines. Every walk on the paved surface outside turns into a mini social event because she's so friendly and eager to say hello. Caring for that beautiful curly coat does take a bit of effort – regular brushing is a must to prevent matting, especially with a fluffy golden coat like hers. But honestly, it's a small price to pay for such an affectionate, intelligent, and joyful companion. If you're considering a Goldendoodle, be prepared for endless love, playful antics, and a dog that will truly become a cherished member of your family. They're more than just cute; they're smart, adaptable, and full of personality!

If you're interested in a poodle mix, I highly recommend looking at rehome situations or the shelter. Unfortunately poodle mixes can't be ethically bred and typically come with many behavioral and health issues, because the sires and dams they use to breed to create "__doodle" or "__poo" don't come from good breeding stock and combining conditions breeds are prone to. If you like the appearance of a doodle, there are so many wellbred purebred dogs that have predictable temperament, size, health, and grooming needs such as Portuguese Water Dog, Barbet, Lagotto, Barbado da Terceira, bedlington terrier, Spanish water dog, poodle, Schapendoes, Mudi, Curly Coated Retriever, Airdale Terrier, Otter Hound, Coton de Tulear, Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier, Petit Basset Griffon Vendéen, Portuguese Sheep dog, Slavokian Wirehaired Pointer, Pumi, and etc.
