Here's the Vision before Reno: 3D Rendering <$18k

Hey zesties! 💖

For those of you wondering about the renovation design of my new home, check out these 3D renderings my awesome contractor shared!

If you missed it, I previously explained why main contractor instead of interior designer, and I even broke down the costs of my entire renovation which came under $18,000 !! 🤤

The most expensive carpentry?

My room! (first pic) 🙈

Let me explain to you why:

👚 The main wardrobe has just two doors, but if you look closely, the left side has a little door too!

Open it up, and you’ll find a full-length mirror and adjustable shelves for my skincare, bags, and more.

oh, and also I added a plug inside the cabinet so I can use my hairdryer! 🤍

🖥️Under my study desk, there’s even a small hidden drawer for extra storage! Not going to waste any space I can!

🧸 And the best part is my glass-top display cabinet with built in lights for all my cherished figurines!!

📱 also, I'm super proud of my idea for cutting a small hole as a mini side table (just beside my bed) with charging ports, built-in USB and Type-C ports for charging when i'm sleeping!

It’s so convenient! cheers to lying down and using phone for hours during off days 🥱

I’d love to hear your thoughts on the 3D renderings!

If you’re curious about any specific part of the carpentry, feel free to drop your questions below! ✨

... Read moreIf you're considering a full gut renovation like mine, having detailed 3D renderings beforehand is a game changer. It helped me visualize the final look and ensured every inch was utilized efficiently, minimizing surprises. One feature I found especially practical was incorporating hidden compartments, such as the drawer under the study desk, which maximizes storage without cluttering the room. Adding power outlets inside cabinets and side tables allowed me to keep devices charged discreetly—making daily routines smoother. Working with a main contractor instead of an interior designer saved me money while giving me more control over custom features. I highly recommend discussing your storage needs and tech preferences upfront to tailor the design effectively. If you have a 5-room HDB or similar layout, creating a design plan with affordable 3D renovation packages can really boost your home's functionality and style without breaking the bank. Don’t hesitate to ask for visual mockups early—it helps with decision-making and budgeting. Hope my experience inspires your next renovation project! Feel free to ask if you want tips on sourcing reliable contractors or managing costs for a beautiful, affordable home makeover.
