🍋 Day 11: Becoming Her Starts With Small Choices

The Life I Want Requires Me to Show Up for Myself

Today was Day 11 of my 30 Days of Audacity Challenge.

My challenge was to book a luxury yoga spa class.

Now, this wasn’t my first yoga class.

The audacious part wasn’t trying something new.

The audacious part was choosing myself.

Lately, I’ve been thinking about the life I’m working toward.

The woman I want to become.

The peace I want to experience.

The wellness I want to embody.

And I’ve realized something:

None of those things happen by accident.

They happen through the small choices we make every day.

The appointments we book.

The experiences we allow ourselves to enjoy.

The moments we stop putting ourselves last.

Today wasn’t about yoga.

It was about becoming a person who invests in her well-being before she feels burned out.

A person who creates space for rest, restoration, and joy.

A person who understands that self-care isn’t a reward for working hard enough.

It’s part of the foundation.

Sometimes we think audacity looks like taking huge risks.

But sometimes audacity looks like believing you’re worthy of the care you’ve been giving everyone else.

And today, that’s exactly what I chose.

🌸 Day 11 Complete.

🤍 The life I want is built through daily decisions.

🤍 Rest is productive too.

🤍 Investing in yourself is never wasted.

What would change if you treated your well-being like a priority instead of an afterthought? 👇🏾

✍🏾 Your future self is created by the way you care for yourself today.

When I first started making small but intentional choices like scheduling regular wellness appointments or simply allowing myself to rest fully without guilt, I noticed a profound shift. The image of “investing in yourself” highlighted in the yoga and spa class resonates deeply. Giving yourself space to breathe, move your body, and release stress isn’t selfish; it’s necessary to maintain the energy needed for your goals and passions. Choosing yourself daily means recognizing that your well-being forms the foundation for all other achievements. This mindset shift helped me see rest as productive, not passive. When I allowed myself to truly unwind—whether through mindful breathing, gentle yoga, or simply being present—I felt more resilient and inspired. These moments of self-care serve as a reminder that audacity is not always about bold, external risks. Sometimes it’s about the courage to believe you are worth the same care and attention you extend to others. When you treat your wellness as a priority rather than an afterthought, it creates a ripple effect that influences your energy, mindset, and overall quality of life. Ultimately, each small choice to invest in yourself—whether it’s a spa day, a quiet moment of reflection, or saying no to demands that drain you—adds up. It creates a future self shaped by kindness and strength. Your wellness journey becomes richer and more sustainable when you honor these daily decisions, proving that audacity can be found in the gentle act of choosing you.
