🍋 Day 12: Growth Looks Different Than I Expected

🌿 I Haven’t Arrived Yet, But I’m Not Who I Used to Be

Today was Day 12 of my 30 Days of Audacity Challenge.

My challenge was to share my testimony.

And instead of focusing on where I’m trying to go, I spent some time reflecting on where I’ve been.

Sometimes growth is easier to recognize in hindsight.

Because when we’re still in the middle of becoming, we think we have to wait until everything is finished before we share it.

But that’s not true.

The truth is, some of the most meaningful testimonies come from people who are still walking the journey.

And that’s me.

I don’t have all the answers.

I haven’t reached every goal.

I’m still learning, growing, healing, and rebuilding parts of my life.

But when I look back, I can see evidence of growth everywhere.

I can see the moments I didn’t quit.

The seasons I survived.

The prayers that carried me.

The lessons that shaped me.

The strength I didn’t know I had.

Sometimes we focus so much on where we’re trying to go that we forget to honor how far we’ve already come.

Today, I gave myself permission to acknowledge both.

The woman I was.

The woman I’m becoming.

And the grace that carried me between the two.

🌸 Day 12 Complete.

What I’m Learning: ✨

🤍 Growth isn’t always dramatic.

🤍 Every season leaves behind wisdom.

🤍 Your story has value, even while it’s still being written.

What part of your journey deserves more credit than you’ve been giving it? 👇🏾

🩰🫧 You don’t need a perfect ending to have a powerful testimony.

... Read moreReflecting on growth can often reveal insights that weren’t obvious in the moment. From my own experience, I've learned that growth isn’t always a big, dramatic change. Sometimes it’s the quiet victories — the consistent choices to keep showing up and protect your peace, even when progress feels slow. During my journey, I found that trusting in a higher purpose or simply believing in the process helped me remain patient and resilient. The idea that "everything happens for a reason" might feel cliché, but it’s rooted in the reality of personal transformation. When I look back, I see how the seasons I survived taught me lessons that strengthened my character and shaped my perspective. I also realized that growth is something you actively participate in; it’s not just about where you want to end up. There is immense value in sharing your story — even when it’s unfinished — because your journey can inspire and encourage others who may be walking a similar path. For anyone striving toward growth, my advice is simple: honor the woman or man you were and the one you are becoming. Give yourself grace for the days you struggled and celebrate the moments you didn’t quit. Growth is a process marked by healing and rebuilding, and your story, including all the imperfect parts, truly matters.
