หลายคนเสิร์ชหา “new world banglamphu” แล้วอาจยังนึกภาพไม่ออกว่าที่นี่คืออะไร—สรุปง่ายๆ New World Banglamphu ก็คือ “ห้างนิวเวิลด์ บางลำพู” ห้างร้างที่ตั้งอยู่แถวสี่แยกบางลำพู (ถนนจักรพงษ์) ซึ่งในช่วง Bangkok Design Week 2026 จะถูกปลุกให้กลับมามีชีวิตอีกครั้งด้วยงานศิลปะและนิทรรศการชั่วคราว บรรยากาศจริงคือเท่มากแบบดิบๆ มีสเปซโถงสูงหลายชั้นและมีแอ่งน้ำ/พื้นผิวสะท้อนที่ทำให้ภาพดูมีมิติ เหมาะกับคนที่ชอบถ่ายรูปแนวอาร์ตๆ ไฮไลต์ที่คนไปแล้วมักว้าวคือ “kinetic sculpture” ประติมากรรมที่ไม่ได้ตั้งนิ่งๆ แต่จะเคลื่อนไหวเปลี่ยนทิศทางและรูปทรงไปเรื่อยๆ ตามเวลา บางจังหวะจะเห็นเป็นเส้นสายเรียบขาวๆ พอเจอแสงสีในพื้นที่แล้วอารมณ์เปลี่ยนทันที จุดที่แนะนำให้ยืนดูนานๆ คือมุมที่มองเห็นงานอยู่กลางโถง (ฟีลเหมือน atrium ของห้างยุคใหม่) เพราะจะเห็นการเคลื่อนที่แบบเต็มเฟรม และถ้าเดินวนเปลี่ยนชั้น/เปลี่ยนมุมจะได้ “รูปทรงใหม่” คนละฟีลกับมุมเดิมเลย ทริกเรื่องเวลา: ส่วนตัวชอบไปหลัง 18.00 น. เพราะแสงข้างนอกเริ่มมืด งานด้านในจะเด่นขึ้นมาก โดยเฉพาะช่วงที่มีไฟสีสะท้อนกับน้ำ/พื้นเงา ภาพที่ได้จะคอนทราสต์สวยกว่าไปกลางวัน แต่อย่าลืมเช็กเวลาเข้าชม (ปกติงานเปิด 11.00–22.00 น.) เผื่อเวลาถ่ายรูปและเดินขึ้นไปดูชั้น 2 ด้วย เรื่องบัตรและการเข้าชม: เข้างานทั่วไปค่าบัตรประมาณ 10 บาท (ซื้อผ่าน Ticketmelon หรือสแกนหน้างาน) ถ้าวันไหนตั้งใจมาดู live performance ที่เล่นร่วมกับการเคลื่อนไหวของประติมากรรม จะเป็นอีกราคา (เช่น 100 บาท) แนะนำให้เช็กตารางรอบจากเว็บ Bangkok Design Week ล่วงหน้า เพราะรอบมีจำกัดและบรรยากาศจะต่างจากการเดินชมปกติมาก อีกโซนที่ไม่ควรพลาดคือชั้น 2 ที่มีนิทรรศการ “banglamphu everyday” เล่าเรื่องอัตลักษณ์และประวัติศาสตร์ชุมชนรอบๆ บางลำพู เดินดูเพลินมาก แสงไฟระยิบระยับกับงานจัดวางทำให้พื้นที่ห้างร้างดูอบอุ่นขึ้นแบบคาดไม่ถึง วิธีเดินทางไป New World Banglamphu: ถ้าขนส่งสาธารณะสะดวกสุดคือเรือด่วนเจ้าพระยา ลงท่าพระอาทิตย์แล้วเดินต่อประมาณ 350 เมตร (เดินชิลๆ) หรือขึ้นรถเมล์หลายสายที่ผ่านโซนบางลำพูได้ เช่น 3, 6, 15, 30, 32, 33, 53, 56, 64, 68, 82, 516, 524 ถ้าขับรถส่วนตัวแนะนำเผื่อเวลาหาที่จอด เพราะย่านนี้คนเดินเยอะและที่จอดไม่ค่อยชิล โดยรวมเป็นอีกโลเคชันในกรุงเทพที่ “ไปครั้งเดียวได้ทั้งงานศิลป์และบรรยากาศเมืองเก่า” แบบคุ้มมาก
