New Projector Alert 📽️🚨
Back at it again with another home projector review and this one is better than the last!
To cut it short, the last projector I reviewed (Amazon's Hision Bluetooth Projector) had some issues. I can’t say if it was a manufacturing issue because I’m still unsure of what exactly went wrong. Nevertheless, I was a little hesitant about purchasing another. I decided to steer clear of Amazon projectors and explore other brands instead. That's when I came across Vankyo at Best Buy and decided to hop on their end-of-year sale. A tiny bit pricier than the Hision, but worth every cent!
Vankyo Leisure 470 Pro
Reg. Price: $169.99
Sale Price: $139.99
Vankyo Projector Mount
Reg. Price: $49.99
Sale Price: $39.99
Pros:
• I won’t bore you with all the specs talk, but rest assured, the picture quality is exceptional. We’ve had it for about 2 months now, and despite being on the lower end of projectors, it performs admirably well.
• Thanks to the zooming feature, you can adjust the screen on any wall effortlessly.
• In comparison to the Hision, the Vanyko excels in sound quality. Not sure if you guys remember, but we had to hook up our last projector to a separate speaker just to drown out the noise of the fan. While the fan on the Vankyo is still audible, you hardly notice it with the volume turned up.
• Carrier bag included 😱 this is honestly what sold me. As someone who doesn’t like to keep things plugged up and sitting out, this is a great way to keep everything neat and tidy.
Cons:
• Like any corded device, setting it up can be a hassle. If used frequently, I can't imagine dismantling and setting it up each time. But for someone like me who doesn't watch TV every day, it's a bit of a chore.
• I would have loved another pretty projector 🥺 the color and overall style is somewhat dull.
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this home projector! 8/10 ✨
After diving deeper into the Vankyo Leisure 470 Pro, I realized there's so much more to share for those of you trying to make an informed decision, especially if you're like me and want to avoid another projector mishap! When I was researching this model, I paid close attention to the technical aspects that really matter for a good home viewing experience. While I usually skip the dry specs, understanding a few key details can really help. First off, for those asking about the 'Vankyo Leisure 470 Pro specs' or 'HD mini projector' capabilities, it boasts a native resolution of 1280x720P, supporting 1080P Full HD input. This means you're getting a clear, crisp image, especially for its price point. I've found the picture quality to be truly exceptional, far exceeding what I expected from an 'affordable' projector. The brightness, often measured in lumens, also plays a huge role. While Vankyo doesn't always advertise exact ANSI lumens for their Leisure series, the visual clarity and vibrant colors in a moderately dark room are impressive. Connectivity is also crucial; it features HDMI, USB, VGA, and AV ports, making it super versatile for connecting my laptop, streaming stick, or even a gaming console. This adaptability is a huge plus for a home theater setup. One of the biggest improvements for me was the sound. My previous projector required external speakers just to drown out the fan noise. With the Vankyo Leisure 470 Pro, the built-in speakers are surprisingly robust. Yes, the fan is still audible, but it fades into the background once the movie starts, which is a massive relief. For anyone concerned about ‘Vankyo Leisure 470 review’ mentions of fan noise, you'll likely find this model much better than many budget alternatives. Setting up any corded device can feel like a chore, but I've picked up a few tricks. For optimal placement, I found that positioning the projector (often on a small tripod stand for stability, like the one sometimes shown in product images) about 6-10 feet from the wall gives a great screen size, usually around 80-120 inches. Using the digital keystone correction and focus wheel (easily accessible near the front lens) helps achieve a perfectly rectangular and sharp image quickly. Don’t forget to experiment with different wall surfaces; a smooth, light-colored wall works best if you don't have a dedicated screen. I’ve even projected onto a plain sheet for a fun outdoor movie night – the 'projected movie screen' quality still held up surprisingly well! Finally, let's talk about portability and value. The included carrier bag, which often holds the projector, user manual, and remote control, is a game-changer. It makes packing up and storing the projector incredibly easy, addressing my 'con' about not wanting things plugged in all the time. For those seeking a 'Vankyo Leisure 470 mini projector' that's easy to move from room to room or take to a friend's house, this feature elevates its practicality. Considering the 'Vankyo Leisure 470 Pro price' of around $139.99 on sale, the overall package delivers exceptional value for casual movie watchers, gamers, or anyone looking for an affordable, flexible home entertainment solution.

Hows the sound?
