only took me 7yrs

My husband proposed with this ring when I was 21. That’s 9 years ago. We got married after we had our babygirl in 2017, I was 23. Been with my mister since 2008. That’s 16 long years together if we aren’t including the craziness in between.

When he first proposed the ring was too big, so he took it to get resized which took 2wks to wait. I put on some fluff after we had our daughter & I’ve never taken the ring off since.

Fast forward to February 2024, 3 kids later, now 7yrs married, I finally took it for resizing due to me starting a new 9-5 & their policy for wearing jewelry. I took it to a local shop, took about 1hr to work their magic &&& the feeling after receiving it all polished & new it still gives me butterflies from when he did propose. Love this man with all of me, even on our worst days.

... Read moreIn the journey of marriage, a wedding ring symbolizes more than just a piece of jewelry; it holds memories and emotions. When the author received her engagement ring at 21, it marked the beginning of a beautiful chapter filled with love and partnership. Years later, after having three children and overcoming life's challenges, resizing the ring becomes a celebration of growth. Resizing a ring is a common experience for many couples, especially after significant life events like pregnancy and childbirth. As noted, the ring originally needed resizing before symbolizing the evolving nature of love. Many couples also find that regular maintenance, including cleaning and polishing, not only keeps the ring looking beautiful but also reignites the feelings associated with their special moments. Each resizing and restoration can remind couples of their commitment, the memories created together, and the many more to come. This act of resizing speaks to the notion that love, much like the ring, can grow, adapt, and be strengthened over time, making it critical to cherish every moment and connection. Whether it’s a quick visit to the local shop for a resizing or reminiscing about the day of the proposal, these experiences enrich the love story that continues to unfold.

I absolutely love this and love that you finally have a ring that fits! This is honestly one of my biggest fears… i’m not engaged however, my boyfriend of seven years has gotten me a ring that I wear every single day but it’s adjustable so it fits any finger 🥰
