SUMMER 🫶 MORNING SKINCARE BASICS FOR BEGINNERS

Skincare doesn’t have to be complicated! Although I LOVE a good 10-step routine, it’s definitely not necessary. Here are the absolute basics that you need for your morning skincare routine in the summer!

1. Cleanser - something NON-stripping. If you are not acne prone, you may not even need to cleanse in the morning! Try both ways and see which you prefer. I personally cleanse in the morning most days. 💦

2. Vitamin C serum - this is essential for the summer! The added antioxidant benefits will help you glow and reduce hyperpigmentation; but it can also help with added sun and environment protection! ✨

3. Moisturizer - a lightweight moisturizer, preferably gel or gel-cream, is essential for upcoming hot summer days. ☀️

4. Sunscreen - you should be using sunscreen ALWAYS and year round! But definitely don’t forget it in the summer when we are all out in the sun much more often. 😊

This is your most basic routine!! If you would like to level up your routine, I would recommend adding a toner right after cleansing and an eye cream right before moisturizing. I hope this helps!

Start with a gentle cleanser that is non-stripping, ideal for preparing your skin for the addition of other products. Using a Vitamin C serum not only helps brighten your complexion but also offers vital antioxidant protection against environmental stressors. Choose a lightweight moisturizer, preferably in gel form, to maintain hydration without feeling heavy. Lastly, remember that sunscreen is a must-have to protect against harmful UV rays, reducing the risk of sun damage and premature aging. If you're looking to enhance your routine further, consider integrating a toner after cleansing to help balance your skin's pH and an eye cream to hydrate the delicate skin around your eyes. By mastering these basic steps, you'll set a solid foundation for a healthy skincare regimen throughout the summer.
