Finally, there's the 'maturation' phase, where your locs are fully formed, dense, and strong. Each of these loc growth stages has its own unique characteristics and requires different levels of care. Throughout these stages, gentle care is key. I've learned that moisture is my best friend. Regular misting with water and light oils helps keep my scalp and locs hydrated without causing buildup. Retwisting too often can lead to thinning, so finding a balance is important.
