Japan Solo Trip Day 5 - A Day with Nara Deer 🦌🍃

On the fifth day of the trip, he took the train out of Kyoto to Nara and met a "full-city deer" that didn't think so much. From the day he got tired yesterday, this day became another lovely and rewarding walk.

📍 Nara Park.

The first thing I see is that the deer are really full, walking all over the park. Some of them walk in on their own because they know that people often buy shika senbei (deer candy). They recommend walking inside because the deer is somewhat calmer. For us, the younger ones are cute and look smarter than they think. Some of them will curve their heads like they are greeting before getting candy.

📍 Todai-ji Temple

This temple is one of the most important temples of Nara, and there is a very big Daibutsu Buddha inside, just the temple building is huge, and when you go inside, you really feel the greatness of this place.

📍 Nigatsu-do.

This is one of our favorite places today, because the view above overlooks the city of Nara. The atmosphere is somewhat quieter than below. It suits a stop and watch the view for a while.

📍 Tamukeyama Hachimangu Shrine

The shrine is located near Nigatsu-do and is dedicated to the god Hachiman (the deity of war and protection), who in the past was summoned to protect the building of the great monk of the Todai-ji temple.

Walking out of the shrine a short distance will find the foothills.

📍 Mt. Wakakusa ()

Mount Wakakusa, which many people are familiar with, walks a little longer to reach their next destination.

📍 Kasuga Taisha

The shrine, famous for its many stone lanterns and brass lanterns, lines the corridor. The atmosphere is very magical and beautiful. On the way, it still finds Nong Kwang walking all along.

📍 Higashimuki Shopping Street

The shopping street near Nara Station has restaurants, souvenir shops and snacks suitable for walking before returning.

🍡 Nakatanidou

The famous shop has a moji to look at the front of the store. We do not wait to see, but stop to buy, which is very delicious. Recommended.

🍓 Daibutsu Ichigo.

The very delicious Daifuku strawberry shop is another one to stop by before returning.

After that, we continued our journey, Osaka, because today is the day we change our accommodation from Kyoto to Osaka.

During the trip, we deposited our bags at the station. Very convenient. No need to carry our bags all day.

In fact, after entering the hotel today, we intended to continue to eat in Osaka, but finally got a lot of knee pain, so we had to go back to bed. 😂

Today is another day of many walks, too, but seeing Nong Kwang in Nara up close is considered another fun experience of this trip. 🦌✨
