Day 7 | Osaka Walk All Day... Mu Line + Shopper Line 🛍️✨
Japan Solo Trip Day 7 - Osaka Shrines & Shopping 🛍
After having all day of wading and rest... today, let's go back and walk. Start with the Mu line and finish with the shopper line. I can say that today is "the best waste of money." 😂
In the morning, we went for a walk in Nakanoshima, an island in the middle of the water that includes many old Western-style architectural buildings, such as the Central Public Hall, which has beautiful red bricks, gives a European vibe on the waterfront that is very romantic, and stroll through Nakanoshima Park before going to
📍 Namba Yasaka Shrine.
A small shrine not far from Dotonbori. The highlight of this is the unique head of a giant lion. When you get there, you're shocked because more people than you think, so we stop by to make a wish and buy a goshuin before you continue to the next shrine.
📍 Sumiyoshi Taisha
Anyone who is Sai Mu must stop by this shrine because it is one of the old and important shrines of Osaka. The area is quite wide, and there are many small shrines to walk to (such as Tanekashi-sha Shrine or Nankun-sha). I personally like this shrine a lot. The atmosphere is calmer than I thought. Also, many people often stop by is stroking the rabbit statue. Because the Japanese believe that if we are hurt or hurt anywhere, stroking it on the statue will heal (with a knee ache for many days and then secretly stroking the rabbit too).
After that, we headed into town to start a shopping mission. The first neighborhood we went to was
📍 Shinsekai
We personally prefer this place to Dotonbori because of the retro atmosphere and old Japanese charm, so we stopped by to try Kushikatsu, which is also famous for the neighborhood.
Then walk on to
📍 DenDen Town
The main reason we came here is... to buy anime character models. Anyone who is an anime line or likes collectibles should be very pleased here because there are a lot of stores to choose from, and finally we have the items we want back, haha.
Before going to Dotonbori, we stopped for a walk at
📍 Hozenji Yokocho.
A small alley that gives you a traditional Japanese atmosphere and a visit.
📍 Hozenji Temple
A small temple with a moss-filled Buddha (Mizukake Fudo). Although we forgot to take pictures at this point, it's another place worth stopping by. After that, we'll walk.
📍 Dotonbori.
To find something to eat and continue shopping. The thing we try to eat today is
🐙 Takoyaki, Osaka's signature.
🧀 10 yen coin bread (recommended, very delicious)
Before walking to buy deposits and goods in full reverse
We really regret it a little because the previous two days we didn't stop by DenDen Town according to the plan because we really liked it. There are a lot of shops to choose from, but today it is considered a whole trip, shopping and pleasant, going to the less crowded spots and the bustling landmark of Osaka.
