📢💬Access Denied‼️ Don't die in the wilderness
Hey, family! Welcome back to A Jesus & Family Podcast. Where fait that meets real life, right in the middle of our homes, our parenting, our marriages, and our everyday walk with God. Today’s episode is straight from Sunday’s fire filled message, and I promise, it’s going to challenge you, check you, and call you higher.
📢👀 Let’s talk about something real today. Access Denied. Not because God didn’t want them in. But because they didn’t believe enough to go in.
God didn’t just rescue the Israelites from Egypt to leave them wandering. No He brought them out so He could bring them in.
📖 Numbers 14:24
💬 But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed me fully, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it.
He was leading them into the Promise, Destiny, and Purpose. A land flowing with milk and honey. But not everyone made it. And not because God changed His mind. Some died in the wilderness. They still loved God. They still saw miracles. They were fed manna from Heaven. But they didn’t enter.
💡 Why, you ask?
🪫Unbelief! Disobedience! Complaining! Doubt! Delay! Fear!
📍 Even Moses, mighty Moses made it to Heaven, yes. But not into the Promised Land. That part of the journey he missed.
Let's dig into families 👇🏼
Here’s the truth for our families today. Salvation gets us out of Egypt. But faith and obedience bring us into our purpose. As parents, we can’t just raise kids who know the storiesz we’ve got to raise kids who live the faith. Who presses into the promises. Who obey even when it’s hard. Who trust even when they can’t see. Because we’re not just trying to make it into Heaven, we want to live out our full calling here on Earth. We want our homes to walk in PROMISE. We want to raise promise keepers and faith walkers. We don’t want to die in a dry season that we were never meant to live in forever.
📚 Journey this👇🏼
1.) Is there an area in your life or home where you've settled in the wilderness instead of believing for the promise?
2.) Are you modeling belief or doubt for your children?
3.) What’s one promise you know God gave your family, and how can you step toward it today?
⚔️ He is calling us (parents) to ACTION!
Let’s teach our children not just how to survive but how to enter. Let’s break cycles of fear and doubt in our homes and raise a generation who say like Caleb👇🏼
“We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it!”
(Numbers 13:30)
Don’t die in the wilderness when God has more for you. Walk by faith. Lead your family in. Believe again.
‼️Read this, let is sink in and marinate!

The powerful message of "Access Denied: Don't Die in the Wilderness" challenges believers to move beyond mere survival in their spiritual journey and step into God’s abundant promises through faith and obedience. This teaching draws from the biblical story of the Israelites’ exodus from Egypt to the Promised Land—a journey where many perished in the desert due to unbelief, disobedience, complaining, doubt, delay, and fear. Even though they witnessed miracles and received manna from heaven, their lack of trust barred them from entering the land flowing with milk and honey. Central to this message is the example of Caleb, described in Numbers 14:24 as a man with a "different spirit" who followed God fully. Caleb's faith exemplifies how commitment and trust in God's promises translate into possession of the destiny and purpose God has for His people. It urges parents to model this faith for their children—not merely teaching biblical stories but demonstrating a life of trust and obedience, encouraging their families to believe boldly and act courageously in pursuit of God’s calling. Incorporating the encouraging declaration from the image OCR, "I am a CHILD OF GOD. I can DO ALL THINGS THROUGH CHRIST WHO STRENGTHENS ME. I ought to DO MY DUTY TO GOD AND OTHERS. I will CHOOSE THE RIGHT," the supplement reinforces the empowering identity and responsibility of believers. It highlights the need for believers to actively choose righteousness and fulfill their duties, trusting Christ’s strength to overcome challenges, including the wilderness seasons in life. Practically, families are called to assess areas where they may have settled into spiritual complacency or wilderness states and to reclaim the promises God has given them by stepping out in faith today. Questions for reflection include whether parents are modeling belief or doubt, and what concrete steps can be taken to walk into God’s promises. This message is especially relevant for those who desire not only salvation but to fully live out their God-ordained calling on earth, creating households where faith is vibrant and generational cycles of fear and doubt are broken. It inspires a generation to rise up like Caleb, confidently declaring, "We should go up and take possession of the land, for we can certainly do it!" (Numbers 13:30). By embracing this call to action, families can transform their faith journey from wandering in the wilderness to triumphantly entering their God-given promise, leaving behind dry seasons and walking boldly in the fulfillment of God’s destiny.
