Happy holidays from the Las Vegas 🌵Graft Club!
We were honored to have Brett back with us for a holiday bash… joined with our new member Remington & winner Jeanne took down first place for the ugly sweater contest! It was soooooo ugly, we loved it!
We shared drinks, food, laughter & cacti! Alberto rocked his electric T-Rex shirt, while Brett found a MOCO near his nostril! Russ and I teamed up for a very very cool graft on opuntia that could make for an epic living art piece this next year… name is still pending! Happy Holidays and Happy Cactusing! #cactusjeff #graftclub #cactus #graft
The Las Vegas Graft Club holiday event was an exciting gathering filled with festive spirit and creative cactus enthusiasts. Events like these provide a wonderful opportunity for cactus lovers to come together, share their passion, and exchange grafting techniques. Grafting is an important horticultural practice that helps create unique cactus varieties by combining different species or forms, often resulting in striking living art pieces, as highlighted by the cool Opuntia graft mentioned. The mention of a "MOCO near his nostril" refers to the discovery of a cushiony, moss-like growth commonly seen on cacti, adding a quirky touch to the gathering. Costume contests like the ugly sweater competition add to the holiday cheer, making the event engaging and memorable for participants. The club's blend of socializing with specialized plant care underlines how plant communities thrive through shared experiences and creativity. The "Las Vegas aft 10 9 CLUB" traced from the event's image OCR might hint at a local or time-related group activity, adding to the community essence of the gathering. Such occasions also foster learning and inspiration, encouraging members to experiment with new grafting ideas for their cacti collections throughout the year. Participating in clubs like this can greatly enhance one’s knowledge and enjoyment of cactus cultivation, especially in unique desert environments like Las Vegas. Overall, attending holiday bashes at clubs like the Las Vegas Graft Club is more than celebration—it's a chance to deepen one’s hobby, make lasting friendships, and celebrate the fascinating world of cacti and grafting artistry. Happy Holidays and Happy Cactusing indeed!
