I got to visit some of the coolest restaurants during my trip to San Diego! here are my thoughts/recommendations:
🥐 Asa Bakery: absolutely loved it and highly recommend. Waited about 20 mins in line on a Saturday morning. We tried tons of pastries, matcha (was delicious), and the tiramisu latte. Everything was excellent. The bread pastry items were insanely good. MUST try!!!
🍨 An’s Dry Cleaning: best and most unique gelato I’ve ever tried. They won an award for the best gelato in America and I can totally see why! They have a new menu every couple of weeks so there’s always something new to try. Vegan options too. I’ll be coming back every time I’m in the area!!
🍱 Azuki Sushi: I appreciated that they had a few vegetarian options on the menu. Everything was good but I think their non-vegetarian menu items looked much better. I probably wouldn’t go back, but I did enjoy it! Really nice vibe inside too.
🫐 Sugar and Scribe: really fun restaurant with a unique menu! Most of the options were quite sugary (as their name would suggest) so if you’re in the mood for something indulgent, this place is a great pick. Wouldn’t get another iced latte there, too milky for me. I’d also avoid items with edible glitter in the future. Otherwise I liked it a lot!
