I CAN’T BELIEVE I got to meet @chefedwardlee AND taste his food at Capella Residences Seoul !!!
It was just a few days ago that I was munching on Chef Lee’s chive jeon chips from the convenience store in my hotel room, and then the next day Chef Edward Lee invited me to his restaurant here in Seoul 😆
I had an absolutely unforgettable meal. Each dish was so balanced, absolutely delicious and a creative masterpiece.
Thank you so much Chef Edward Lee for having us 🥹
If you’re in Seoul, you can make a reservation at The Roof at Capella Residences by calling them :)
Meeting Chef Edward Lee in Seoul and tasting his innovative dishes was truly a highlight of my culinary adventures. What stood out most was his creative use of traditional Korean ingredients, such as 부추전 (chive jeon) chips, which I first enjoyed as a convenient snack in my hotel room. The chips were not only flavorful but exemplified how Chef Lee bridges Korean flavors with contemporary twists. During the dinner at The Roof, I was amazed by the texture and the harmony of each dish. The homemade Korean seaweed rolls paired with seaweed butter added a unique umami depth, making every bite memorable. Particularly impressive was the bomnamul risotto, a heavenly combination of Korean herbs and delicate rice perfectly hugging intense flavors and textures. Toasted notes and a touch of crunch made the experience multi-dimensional. Besides the exceptional food, Chef Lee's passion and hospitality elevated the meal. His personal touch in cooking and mingling with guests created a welcoming atmosphere, making the evening feel exclusive yet approachable. If you plan to visit Seoul, I highly recommend trying Chef Edward Lee's offerings at Capella Residences. Whether you stop by for a casual snack or a full dinner, the blend of Korean tradition and global creativity in his dishes offers a delightful exploration of flavors that is rare to find elsewhere. Don’t miss the chance to taste his signature chive jeon chips and other innovative dishes that beautifully balance texture, flavor, and presentation.
