หลายคนทักมาถามว่า “น้ำตกห้วยน้ำเย็น บ้านแม่โขง อยู่ที่ไหน” และ “น้ำตกอมก๋อยไปยังไง” เลยขอสรุปเป็นไกด์แบบเข้าใจง่ายจากประสบการณ์ของเรา เผื่อใครกำลังแพลนจะไปตามรอยค่ะ น้ำตกห้วยน้ำเย็นอยู่ในโซน อำเภออมก๋อย จังหวัดเชียงใหม่ (แถวบ้านแม่โขง) เป็นน้ำตกที่ต้อง “ติดต่อชุมชน/เพจ” ก่อน ไม่ใช่ขับรถไปแล้วเดินเข้าเองแบบน้ำตกทั่วไป เราแนะนำให้เริ่มจากทักเพจ “น้ำตกห้วยน้ำเย็น บ้านแม่โขง” เพื่อขอลงทะเบียนและเช็กเงื่อนไขล่าสุด เช่น วันเปิด-ปิด จำนวนคนต่อรอบ จุดนัดหมาย และรูปแบบรถรับส่ง เพราะช่วงฝนหรือทางลื่น บางวันอาจจำกัดการเข้าเพื่อความปลอดภัย เรื่องการเดินทาง เราเลือกจอยรถไปกับคณะอื่นตามที่เพจแนะนำ เพราะประหยัดและอุ่นใจกว่า จุดนัดพบที่เจอบ่อยคือบริเวณ สถานีตำรวจ หรือ ที่ว่าการอำเภออมก๋อย เพื่อรวมทีมก่อนนั่งรถเข้าหมู่บ้าน ระยะทางเข้าหมู่บ้านใช้เวลาพอสมควร (ของเราเกือบ 2 ชม. เพราะแวะชมวิว) ใครเมารถแนะนำพกยาไว้เลยค่ะ ทริคเล็กๆ ถ้าอยากได้รูปทุ่งนา/ทุ่งนาขั้นบันได ให้ลองบอกคนขับว่าอยากผ่านเส้นที่มีทุ่งนาเยอะๆ (ถ้าเขาไปได้) บางวันอาจต้องเลือกเส้นทางตามสภาพถนนอยู่ดี แต่ถามไว้ไม่เสียหายค่ะ เส้นทางเดินเข้าน้ำตกโดยรวมคือไป 5 กม. กลับ 5 กม. รวมประมาณ 10 กม. ทางเดินถือว่า “เดินง่าย” สำหรับมือใหม่ ไม่ค่อยมีหินให้สะดุด แต่จะมีช่วงชันสลับเรื่อยๆ ทำให้ตอนขากลับปวดขาได้เหมือนกัน น้ำตกมีประมาณ 4 ชั้น จุดเล่นน้ำสวยมาก แนะนำเผื่อเวลาไว้ เพราะถ้าหยุดถ่ายรูปบ่อยๆ เวลาจะไหลไวค่ะ ของที่เราอยากให้เตรียม (กันพลาด): สเปรย์กันยุงแบบจริงจัง (ยุงเยอะพอๆ กับทาก), ถุงเท้ายาว/ปลอกขากันทาก, รองเท้าดอกยางดีๆ ที่ค่อนข้างแข็งแรง, น้ำดื่ม+เกลือแร่, ของกินเบาๆ, ยาดม/ยาทากันคัน และถุงขยะเล็กๆ เก็บขยะตัวเองกลับออกมา สุดท้าย ถ้าไม่อยากเหนื่อยเกินไป เราเชียร์ให้นอนค้าง 1 คืนในพื้นที่ แล้วค่อยแบ่งเวลาไปเดินถ้ำหรือเที่ยวจุดใกล้ๆ ก่อน วันรุ่งขึ้นค่อยเข้าน้ำตก จะเดินแบบชิลๆ ได้มากขึ้นค่ะ
