📍Capitola, CA : Walton Lighthouse & Capitola Village
🖊️~~~ A successful mini adventure with a great friend of mine on their Birthday! We enjoyed some tasty coffee from the local shop ☕️ Mr. Toots☕️ and spent some time overlooking on their terrace but it comes with its consequences….BIRDS!! These flying mini dinosaurs will fly over and hover looking for a meal or a place to release their doo-doo. We almost got hit but thankfully it missed us by an inch but it was totally worth it! The view was beautiful 🤩
(Seagulls surround the area because the beach is their habitat just like any other beach in the world. So be ready to defend your yum yums and dignity T-T)
I also interacted with a previous local who moved away around 10 years ago. They came back with their partner to tour and share their most memorable childhood pass times on the Soquel Creek. They mentioned the houses have been there since the 80s with the exact colors we see today!
The lighthouse was pretty hidden but not hard to find! You can get close to it but at your discretion; waves of different sizes come and go and it’s unpredictable, so we were very careful.
It’s nice getting to know these places and having someone to enjoy it with, can’t wait for my next adventure!
