💌 What I asked for:
• After years of getting regular gel manicures, I finally visited a salon that offered me “gel overlay” instead.
• They prepped the nail as a regular gel manicure and followed through with the normal gel polish and curing.
• Once the gel manicure was complete they took out a small brush and layered the top with *ibd hard gel* and cured.
• My manicures lasted 4 weeks and never chipped nor lifted!
💌 How they would take it off:
• They used a file and a drill to take off the overlay (hard gel)
• They wrapped my nails in acetone, cotton balls, and foil.
• They used the drill to take off any excess.
😰 My only issue:
• A lot of nail salons don’t seem to know what this is or have a different conception of “overlay”
• Another nail salon I went to didn’t know what it was, but they offered to try. It ended up lasting less than 2 weeks, and they charged me more $$$
