God in our everyday moments🪴

Yesterday, I was praying. I was frustrated, I didn’t have the words to pray, I just felt so deeply in my spirit to just ask God to move in my life. That’s all I could do. I felt Him say, “I am moving, you just need to look.”

I realized I am missing God’s presence in the present. I’m asking Him to help me with problems of the past, or to move in an area that will affect my future (i.e. help us to find a house, help with family issues, etc). I realized that right now, God is moving over things I’ve prayed for months/years ago. He is always moving. Always working for our good (Romans 8:28). Even when we can’t see Him working in the big things, you can see Him in the little things. And for me, that’s enough to remind me that if I can see Him in the little things, He is working on the big things too.

If you need prayer for God to move in your life, please leave a comment or DM me and I would love to put you on my prayer list. 🫶🏻

... Read moreYou know, there are days when life feels like a constant stream of worries. We juggle bills, health concerns, future plans, and sometimes, it feels overwhelming. I recently stumbled upon Matthew 6:30, and it hit me differently. This verse, nestled within Jesus's Sermon on the Mount, talks about how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and gone tomorrow, and asks, “will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?” It really makes you stop and think. If God cares so intimately for something as fleeting as a wildflower, how much more does He care for us, His children? This isn't just about not worrying about clothes or food, but about trusting in His meticulous care for every aspect of our lives. It's about 'Finding God in the little things' – the gentle breeze, the laughter of a loved one, a timely word of encouragement, or even just the quiet moments of peace. These aren't random; they are often subtle whispers of His presence, reminders that He is actively involved. I've found that actively looking for these 'little things' can transform my perspective. Instead of solely focusing on the big, daunting challenges ahead, I've started a practice of gratitude. Each evening, I try to recall three small instances where I felt God's touch or saw His provision, however minor. Maybe it was finding a parking spot when I was running late, or receiving an unexpected text from a friend just when I needed it. These aren't miraculous healings, but they are divine nudges comforting me and confirming His care. It's easy to get caught up in prayers for the 'big' things – a new job, healing, a resolution to a family conflict. And absolutely, we should pray for those! But what I've learned, much like the original article shares, is that God is already moving. He's working behind the scenes, orchestrating details we can't even perceive. Sometimes, our prayers for the future overshadow the beautiful ways He's sustaining us in the present. Matthew 6:30 encourages us to trust that if He's got the 'little things' covered, He's certainly got the 'big things' in His perfect timing. This perspective shift has brought so much peace into my life. It doesn't mean problems disappear, but it means I can face them with a different kind of faith. It's a daily, conscious effort to step back from the anxiety of 'what if' and embrace the reassurance of 'He is.' So, if you're feeling overwhelmed, take a moment to look around. Are there 'little things' today that point to a bigger, unwavering love? I bet there are. Embracing the wisdom of Matthew 6:30 isn't just about not worrying; it's about deeply understanding that we are infinitely valued and cared for by a God who sees every single detail.
