GOING OFF BIRTH CONTROL PILL!!🩵💊
I have been off the birth control pill for *almost* a month now. I had been hearing so many things about how it can be harmful in the long run, and I wanted to see if it was the cause of my weight gain & acne problems & headache problems!🤦🏼♀️
My headaches have GONE AWAY 🙌🏻 (thank you Lord), but I’m still trying to lose weight and my acne has gotten worse. I know it’s because my hormones are now balancing out, so I’m praying it’s just a “gets worse before it gets better” situation. 😅
I can already see some positive changes in myself! 💗So if you’ve been thinking about going off of it and using a different method… THIS IS YOUR SIGN!💥
Yes it’s an adjustment. Yes it might get worse before it gets better. But if you have that gut feeling, listen to it!
ALSO‼️‼️‼️ this is obv not coming from a medical prof. And this is not a jab at ppl taking the pill. If it works for you, then awesome. But I had that for feeling that I needed to stop after taking it for 4 years.
Now my next step is taking more wholistic approaches to managing my periods and my full cycle. And diving into learning about each phase we go through (menstrual, follicular, ovulation, luteal).

Going off the birth control pill can bring a mix of emotions and physical changes. Many women report experiencing fluctuations in mood and body changes, such as headaches, weight gain, and acne as their hormones adjust after discontinuation. It’s vital to give your body time to recalibrate, often leading to improvements in overall well-being with holistic management strategies. Adopting a holistic approach can involve tracking your menstrual cycle and understanding each hormonal phase. This is essential for recognizing patterns that may affect your emotional and physical health. Women are encouraged to explore natural methods for period management, such as diet, exercise, and mindfulness practices, which can support hormonal balance. Consulting with healthcare professionals is beneficial during this transition, especially if new symptoms arise. Joining communities where similar journeys are discussed can also provide support and valuable insights for navigating these changes effectively.
