Is sending Christmas cards important?
We sent out Christmas cards the first year we were married, like professionally made Christmas cards. We got married the month before so we just used our wedding pictures and put “merry Christmas from the newlyweds!” And I loved them.
We haven’t sent out professional Christmas cards since then, but I will send cards to grandparents and some family. We just took our pictures in front of the tree with our dog, and of course I had to get a pic of just the puppy lol!!

Sending Christmas cards remains a cherished holiday tradition that many people still appreciate, even in our increasingly digital world. Receiving a physical card in the mail adds a personal touch that texts, emails, or social media posts can’t quite replicate. A beautifully crafted card with heartfelt messages or family photos offers a tangible way to share holiday cheer and update friends and family about life events. For example, many people enjoy creating holiday cards featuring recent family photos, such as pictures taken in front of a Christmas tree or candid moments with beloved pets. These personalized touches make the cards unique and memorable. Cards sent to grandparents or relatives often hold special significance, as they become keepsakes treasured for years. Beyond just sharing greetings, Christmas cards help maintain connections with loved ones who may not be seen frequently. They convey warmth, thoughtfulness, and care, reinforcing family bonds during the festive season. Including handwritten notes or updates adds authenticity and shows extra effort on the sender’s part. While digital greetings are convenient, traditional Christmas cards offer the benefit of lasting sentimental value. They invite recipients to slow down and savor the message, enhancing the holiday spirit. For those wondering whether to continue sending cards, it’s worth considering the joy they bring both to the sender and the receiver. In short, sending Christmas cards remains important because it nurtures relationships in a meaningful, heartfelt way. Whether professional or homemade, these cards capture moments and memories that strengthen ties and brighten the season for everyone involved.
