A perfect wintery blush- Makeup OTD❄️💋

I love a heavier blush makeup look, especially on my face shape because I like to put blush on the apples of my cheeks!

If you can’t tell by the post I LOVE Tarte and their blush. I’ve been using that specific blush for ages (although now I can’t find it in stores?? boo.) I also love their Juicy Lips and I have like a BILLION of them lol. I’m an addict.

I recently tried the elf halo glow highlight and absolutely loved it, so now I add it into my daily makeup routine.

... Read moreWinter is the perfect season to experiment with blush, especially if you want to recreate that naturally rosy look you get from being outdoors in the cold. From personal experience, emphasizing the apples of your cheeks with a richer blush like Tarte’s formula can really bring warmth and a healthy glow to your complexion, even during the dreariest days of winter. One thing I've learned is that layering products helps achieve a more natural yet striking effect. For instance, pairing your favorite blush with a subtle highlighter like the elf halo glow can add that perfect lit-from-within brightness without looking overly shiny. This combination works really well for a clean girl makeup look that feels fresh and effortless. If you have a similar face shape to mine, focusing blush on the apples of the cheeks enhances facial structure beautifully. Also, paying attention to lip color can amplify the entire look—using shades like pomegranate have been my go-to during winter since they complement the blush tones and add to the frosted, spirited vibe. A fun tip is to actually spend a little time outdoors in cold weather to see how your skin reacts naturally before trying to replicate it with makeup. Observing the natural flush can inspire how you apply and choose your blush colors. Plus, don’t be discouraged if your favorite products like Tarte's blush become harder to find. Exploring alternatives or layering liquid and powder products can achieve a similar effect. In the end, wintery blush is all about capturing that fresh, rosy glow that feels both natural and radiant. With some practice and the right products, you can easily enhance your winter beauty routine and glow all season long.
