A reminder to slow down 🥚

lately I’ve been slowing down and noticing the little things a bit more 🤍

a new rooster, a sweet baby calf, and even a hidden clutch of eggs…

things I could’ve easily missed if I was rushing through the day 🐓🐄🥚

it’s funny how the smallest moments end up being the ones that ground you the most

🌿 what’s been helping me reset:

• spending more time outside

• paying attention to the “everyday” things

• letting life feel a little simpler

still learning to slow down… but I think I’m getting there 💭

what’s something small you’ve noticed lately?

Living close to nature, as I have recently experienced, offers a powerful way to reset and reconnect. For example, spotting a playful baby calf or hearing a new rooster crow unexpectedly can bring a simple joy that’s easy to overlook when rushing. Spending time outside allows me to breathe fresh air, appreciate natural sounds, and witness little natural events like birds nesting or discovering a clutch of eggs. These moments help me feel grounded and more mindful, reminding me to cherish the present rather than constantly looking ahead. One thing I’ve learned is that slowing down doesn’t mean doing less; it means doing things with more intention. Paying attention to everyday tasks and the environment around you, such as the way sunlight filters through leaves or the texture of weathered wood, can transform routine moments into meaningful experiences. Embracing simplicity has helped me cut through the noise of busy schedules. Whether it’s having a quiet cup of coffee outside or taking a leisurely walk, these small acts nurture wellness and mental clarity. For anyone trying to slow down, I recommend creating daily rituals that bring you closer to nature and encourage mindfulness. By sharing these reflections, I hope to inspire others to find their own grounding moments in the little things, especially in rural or farm life settings. It’s a continuous journey of learning and appreciating life’s gentle rhythms, reminding us all that even the smallest experiences, like the discovery of hidden eggs, can be wonderfully uplifting.
