I don’t know why, but some days I can’t stand the thought of putting foundation on 🤢 anyone else??
I completely understand the feeling of not wanting to wear liquid foundation some days—it can feel heavy, sticky, or just plain icky on the skin. For me, it often depends on how my skin is doing that day. When my skin feels oily or sensitive, foundation tends to feel like a burden rather than a beauty enhancer. I've found that on those 'ick' days, switching to a lighter coverage product, such as a tinted moisturizer or a BB cream, helps me feel more comfortable while still evening out my skin tone. Adding a hydrating primer can also make the foundation feel less cakey. Another helpful trick is skipping foundation altogether and focusing on skincare to improve the natural glow and texture of my skin, which reduces my desire to cover up with heavy makeup. Using minimal makeup like concealer only where needed or a light dusting of powder can give a fresh look without the discomfort. Ultimately, I think it’s important to listen to your skin and your mood. Makeup should be fun and feel good, not a chore that makes you feel icky. Having a variety of beauty products to turn to depending on how I feel each day makes a big difference in managing those off days with liquid foundation.
