I've personally found that sharing my biggest dreams and ambitions only with trusted friends or mentors can make a huge difference. When I was training in tricking and karate, I noticed that the people who openly broadcasted their goals often faced more doubts and skepticism from others, which sometimes made them second-guess themselves. On the other hand, keeping my dreams under wraps allowed me to focus on consistent practice and improvement without getting distracted or discouraged by outside opinions. In fact, the quote "don't tell your dreams to everybody around, some people smile but wanna see you down" resonates strongly from my experience. It’s not about being secretive to the point of isolation, but rather choosing when and with whom to share your aspirations. Negative energy can quietly erode motivation if you're surrounded by people who don't support your journey. By being selective and patient, you create a protective space where your dreams have room to grow. For those involved in physically demanding and artistic pursuits like stunt work or tricking, this mindset is especially valuable. These disciplines require a lot of resilience and long-term commitment. Sharing too much too soon might invite unnecessary pressure or jealousy, which can stifle creativity and progress. Instead, focus on building your skills and celebrating small victories privately. When you’re ready and your achievements speak louder than words, your story will inspire others in a more authentic and powerful way.
