My friend told me that GAP is making a comeback so I decided to stop in and see for myself! I will say that I have been seeing more branded GAP hoodies and hats on the streets of Chicago recently, so I believe my friend!
Here are my personal favorites and exciting fines that I didn't anticipate seeing when I went into the GAP store by me! Note that the prices I'm listing are full price but the entire store was 40% off when I went in. Check your store for sales or look online!
Right away I found the baseball caps that I've been seeing everywhere! There were about 10 different colors, but I think that this electric purple is my favorite! Hats can be such a great statement, peace, especially with casual outfits, and this purple is so unique. These are $19!
I found this cool cropped trench coat with asymmetrical button details for $65, I think this adds a fun twist on a wardrobe staple! I also saw this in black but I'm trying to lean into spring colors hoping it helps spring come along haha.
I think my personal favorite is this really cute that I'm best! I look really good in things with the waste definition, and so a lot of vest do not look good on me. However, this has a more defined waste and it was so flattering on. I also love the V shape at the bottom! This was $45!
I was SHOCKED by the sweat sets they had at GAP! It reminded me of Aritzia, and even had the same new colorways... definitely far cheaper too with sweat pants at $45 and sweatshirts at $40!
I loved this simple cropped crewneck, it's perfectly oversized so you can feel comfy without being in a potato sack haha. This was $49!
Lastly I was so into this pajama set, where by buying both the shorts and the long pants you'd essentially get two pajama sets! That's so smart! There were tons of colors and patterns in both bottoms / tops as well. But this blue stripe is my favorite. The top was $40, the shorts were $30 and the pants were $40!
... Read moreWalking into GAP recently, I could totally feel the shift – it’s clear they’re having a major moment, and honestly, I'm here for it! While I was on the hunt for inspiration, I noticed a lot of people online searching for specific items like the 'Daniela Gap hoodie' or 'Sophia hoodie'. While I didn't spot those exact styles during my visit, I can tell you that GAP's current collection of hoodies and sweat sets is absolutely on point and perfectly captures that cozy, trendy vibe everyone's craving!
Their sweat sets really impressed me, reminding me of some higher-end brands but at a much more wallet-friendly price. They had stacks of them in various colors like bright blue, light gray, and beige – perfect for mixing and matching. I even found a bright pink oversized cropped crewneck sweatshirt that felt incredibly soft and looked effortlessly chic. These pieces are totally interchangeable with any 'viral hoodie' you might be looking for, offering that same classic comfort and style. The quality feels fantastic, making them a true wardrobe staple.
So, how can you style these GAP gems to make them shine? I've got some ideas!
Layer Like a Pro: Imagine pairing one of those super soft hoodies (or the cropped crewneck) with a crisp, collared shirt underneath for a smart-casual look. Or, for a more elevated street style, throw on a tan cropped trench coat over your hoodie – it adds such an unexpected touch of sophistication, just like the one I saw with asymmetrical button details. This instantly dresses up the casual hoodie vibe.
Vest It Up: The denim vest I found with its V-neck and waist definition would look incredible layered over a simple tee and paired with either sweatpants or your favorite jeans. It adds structure and a cool, retro feel that GAP is doing so well right now. It's a great way to add a layer without the bulk of a full jacket.
Mix & Match Sweat Sets: Don't feel like you have to wear the matching sweat pants and top together every time. Pair a GAP sweatshirt with some tailored trousers for a relaxed office look, or throw on the sweatpants with a fitted tank top and a vibrant electric purple GAP baseball cap for a truly casual, yet put-together, weekend outfit. The versatility is endless!
Accessorize Smart: A simple baseball cap, like the vibrant electric purple one I saw, can instantly elevate a casual hoodie outfit. Or, a quilted denim bag (like the one displayed on the mannequins) adds a touch of texture and trendiness. Even a statement sneaker can transform your look from basic to bold.
What I love most about GAP's new arrivals is how they blend comfort with timeless style. From their incredibly soft sweat sets to sophisticated pieces like the cropped trench coat and stylish denim vest, there's something for everyone. And seriously, don't forget to check for sales – finding everything 40% off was a game-changer! It's proof that you can find high-quality, on-trend pieces without breaking the bank. Happy shopping, everyone!
I feel like Jean vest are still going to be in this summer 🔥🔥🥰
