in honor of infertility awareness week 🌸

hi, i’m cait 🩷

i write spicy romance books that balance complex plot, multi-book arcs, badass, intelligent FMCs and emotionally devastating MMCs.

but i also write about the hard things in life, like reproductive health and infertility. i have PCOS, and the journey to diagnose, treat, and manage it is still ongoing as my body changes and the older i get.

it’s important to remember that it’s a part of us, but it doesn’t define us. sometimes it’s hard to remember that.

anyway, if you agree with anything I said here… drop a comment. 🩷

... Read moreInfertility Awareness Week serves as an important reminder that reproductive health issues like PCOS affect many, yet remain deeply personal and often misunderstood. From my own experience and conversations with others on this journey, the emotional rollercoaster of diagnosis, treatments, and changing health is something that doesn’t always get enough attention in everyday discussion. Living with PCOS means navigating unpredictable symptoms and ongoing medical care, which can be exhausting but also a source of strength. It has influenced not only my personal life but also my creative writing. Incorporating themes of infertility and reproductive challenges into my romance novels allows me to shed light on these topics while crafting stories with authentic emotional depth. I’ve found that writing strong, intelligent female characters who face real struggles—in fertility and beyond—makes the stories more relatable and impactful. The emotional struggles and perseverance shown by these characters mirror real-life experiences, which many readers find comforting and inspiring. For those also experiencing infertility, it’s empowering to see it represented in genres like romance, where struggles are balanced with hope, love, and complex human connection. In the Speed Demons series, themes like endometriosis and PCOS are woven into gripping plots involving high-stakes competition and passionate relationships, making for must-read stories that entertain and educate. If you or someone you know is dealing with infertility, know that you are not alone. It’s okay for this challenge to be part of your story without defining who you are. Sharing experiences, whether through books, support groups, or conversations, can bring comfort and strength. Commenting, connecting, and supporting one another during Infertility Awareness Week can make a meaningful difference. Together, through open dialogue and storytelling, we can break stigma and promote understanding around infertility and reproductive health.
