I’m getting my iud out!

I’ve had my IUD in for four years now and I’ve always been having these symptoms.

the doctors were dismissive and then I just kind of let it go. But I was just realizing that the hormones in this birth control could be linked to my moodiness/crankiness acid reflux and my weight gain, and I was having terrible yeast infections like reoccurring as soon as I got treated for one and I got it cleaned up. I would get another one literally as soon as the medication’s were done and I’ve I’m just so ready to get this out.

I have an appointment set up and I’m so excited

****update****

She’s out !!!

Immediately I felt relieved and happy my body craved healthy food

In my case, lingering symptoms like mood swings, persistent acid reflux, weight gain, and repeated yeast infections made me reconsider my birth control choice. Although doctors initially dismissed these issues, I began to notice a pattern linking my hormonal IUD to these health problems. It’s important to remember that every person’s body reacts differently to hormonal birth control. Some might find relief with an IUD while others might encounter persistent symptoms. Common side effects of hormonal IUDs include mood changes due to hormone fluctuations, which can impact emotional wellbeing. Acid reflux and digestive discomfort are less common but have been reported, possibly due to hormonal influences on the gastrointestinal tract. Frequent yeast infections could signal an imbalance in the vaginal flora, sometimes associated with hormonal birth control. If you’re experiencing similar symptoms, keep track of changes and communicate openly with your healthcare provider. Don’t hesitate to seek a second opinion if you feel your concerns are being dismissed. Preparing for IUD removal can be both a relief and an emotional milestone, especially after years of adjustment. Make sure to discuss post-removal contraception options, as fertility can return quickly. Ultimately, listening to your body and advocating for your health is crucial. Sharing experiences like mine can help others feel empowered to make informed decisions about their reproductive health.
